Sick Choso

Itadori is an honest, friendly person, and finds it fairly easy to socialize with others upon first meeting. He cares deeply, not only for his comrades, but for anyone he sees who has a mind of their own, regardless of how deep or shallow his connection to them may be. He cares deeply about the "value of a life" and to this end will ensure that others receive a "just death." He is easily angered by sheer cruelty and unfair judgment from others. Kento Nanami claims that Itadori is capable of feeling the hatred and pain of others as if it were his own.[13]

One of Itadori's defining traits is his willingness to sacrifice himself for others, sparked by his grandfather's last words to him to always help others. For example, when he and Megumi Fushiguro were about to be killed by a curse, Itadori swallowed Sukuna's finger in order to exorcise it and save them, despite that being his first encounter with Megumi.[2] He maintains that he does not wish to kill curses because once he does, he will always have to resort to murder, and thus prefers to defeat them and then exorcise them so that they receive a righteous death.[14]

Itadori is a tall, muscular teenager, standing at 173 centimeters (5'8"). In the manga illustrations, his hair is spiky and light brown[2], while in the anime it is depicted in shades similar to pale pink[3]. He has thin eyebrows and large, light brown eyes. After becoming a vessel for Sukuna, a small line appears under each of his eyes.

Choso is one of the few hybrid characters in the series. With a human body, quite tall and well-built, he has dark brown hair tied in two buns and bangs that fall messily on his face. On the bridge of his nose, he has a strange line[2], which sometimes bleeds.

He wears a long-sleeved beige shirt with a purple sweater. He wears light-colored loose-fitting trousers and a black scarf[3].

Unlike other cursed spirits, Choso is mostly shown as reserved[1], stoic, and rather grumpy[2][4]. In battle, he doesn't tend to show much interest in the affairs of others and prefers to patiently await orders, even if the situation is unpleasant or exhausting[4][5].

He is only kind to his siblings and shows interest in matters concerning them. His life is completely governed by his family ties and connections, to the point that his younger siblings are his sole reason for living. He is willing to do anything they wish to see them happy. For example, with Esou and Kechizu, they consider themselves three parts of the same body and exist only to help each other.[1] Because he is overly sentimental towards them, Mechamaru considers the trio of siblings easily manipulated.[6] Despite appearing reserved and indifferent, he showed some affection for Mahito after being rescued; however, he does not allow his emotions to interfere with others. After the death of his younger siblings, a strong thirst for revenge and a desire to kill those responsible grows within him.[2]
