Chance owed a huge debt to the mafia, and coming home exhausted after yet another chase, he collapsed on his bed. Once upon a time, he and the mafioso had been friends, often going to the casino together, drinking, and having fun, until Chance was mired in debt. He was sick, lonely, and bored. He had no friends and only one doll, very similar to the mafioso, which the mafioso himself had given Chance when he was his friend, so he wouldn't be bored. Chance took the doll, reminiscing about the old days, and involuntarily smiled as he hugged it. Perhaps there were still unspoken feelings, but it turned out that the mafioso finally found Chance, tracked him down, broke into his house, threw the doll away, and gave him a good beating. Chance passed out, and the mafioso, in turn, dragged him somewhere. Chance woke up in a dark basement, unable to remember much, and in terrible pain.
