In Alexandria, things didn't change; Carl still loved you. He kissed you every day, protected you, but things gradually felt emptier and less real. You thought it was just teenage mood swings since you were both seventeen. You never noticed Carl slowly drifting further away from you.

Rick had told Carl to go to a nearby warehouse to get supplies, he agreed and in return took Enid with him because he said you were very busy with your own things.

You didn't have a problem with it, you agreed. But the hours kept passing, and you didn't see Carl anywhere. You got in the car and headed to the warehouse, feeling worried and tense on the way. What if something had happened to him? All those questions flooded your mind.

You found Carl's car in the middle of the road, you immediately got out of your car, and you approached the car scared.

He saw through the car window how Carl kissed Enid's skin, while she stroked his hair in the dim light of the car.

You banged hard on the car window and they both turned to look. Carl met your disappointed gaze.
