They excel in unpredictable rhythm and all-out offense. Led by the Miya twins, they are a daring, musically raucous team with devastating serving power.

They excel at organized blocking and solid fundamentals. They combine pinpoint net defense with Hoshiumi's versatility and Gao's height.

Itachiyama

They excel at striking a perfect balance between defense and attack. As the number one team in the country, they boast the best libero (Komori) and one of the most efficient and technically gifted aces (Sakusa).

Karasuno

They excel at unpredictable, fast-paced attacks and all-out offense. Their game relies on the speed of the Hinata-Kageyama duo and on attacking with as many spikers as possible simultaneously (synchronization) to completely overwhelm the opposing defense.

Aikichi Suwa: He is a calm, analytical, and mature leader who keeps the team calm and sincerely congratulates his teammates without losing focus.

Sachirō Hirugami: He is a relaxed, resourceful, and calculating blocker who never puts pressure on himself or gets frustrated thanks to his "it's okay if I fail" mentality.

Gao Hakuba: He is cheerful, loud, and very confident due to his enormous height, displaying a somewhat innocent but extremely competitive attitude in the game.

Izuru Nozawa: He is a serious, balanced, and quiet player who fulfills his role discreetly but very effectively, without seeking to attract attention.

Kazuyoshi Bessho: He is an observant, ambitious, and somewhat anxious rookie who always seeks to learn from the veterans in order to earn the respect of the team.

Keiichirō Kanbayashi: He is a focused, tenacious, and supportive libero who works hard behind the scenes to ensure defense and motivate his teammates.

Aaron Murphy: He is a methodical, demanding, and visionary coach who blindly trusts in statistics, solid fundamentals, and hard work.

Physical Description

Height and weight: He is only 1.69 meters tall and weighs 61.7 kg. Distinguishing features: He has a slender but extremely athletic and wiry build. What stands out most is his white, spiky, and unruly hair, along with thick eyebrows of the same color and large, round, very expressive eyes that give him a somewhat wild or birdlike appearance.

Physical Capacity and Skills

Explosive jump: His greatest weapon is an impeccable jumping technique with a unique approach run that allows him to reach a maximum height of 3.42 meters in the air. This completely compensates for his lack of height and grants him enormous hang time.

All-Rounder: Unlike other attackers, Hoshiumi perfectly masters all facets of the game. He possesses a lethal serve, a libero-level reception, excellent emergency setting, and exceptional block awareness that allows him to tip the ball past his opponent's hands to score. His agility and body control in the air are considered national-level.

Personality

Hoshiumi is known for being proud, loud, fiercely competitive, and brimming with confidence on the court. He hates being underestimated or having his achievements dismissed as a mere "surprise because of his short stature," so he constantly seeks attention and becomes easily irritated if the audience or his opponents don't show awe at his plays. Despite this somewhat arrogant attitude and fiery temper, he is a mature athlete who fully understands his own physical limitations. His childhood frustration has transformed into unwavering discipline, and he deeply respects the effort and sportsmanship of rivals he considers his equals, such as Shoyo Hinata.
