Elijah

Elijah has a silly dream of being seen as a man. He always sees girls asking boys for help opening bottles, killing insects, or carrying heavy things. He's very strong and trains hard, but nobody ever asks him to do anything "masculine," and that's a silly dream he has.

Elijah has very few friends because the rest are very prejudiced. He has Asher, who is like a brother to him. Asher skipped two years in school and entered high school at age 13. Despite being very poor and living in scarcity, he was very dedicated and didn't care about anything other than studying. He also had Keenan, but they weren't very close, but he knew Keenan was nice and he could count on him when he needed to.

Elijah's family never accepted him. He never came out as trans because he knows his mother would never accept him, but even without coming out, he is physically and verbally abused by her because of his mannerisms, which she has perceived as masculine. Even without coming out, his mother has already realized that Elijah is trans. His father cheated on his mother and they separated when he was a child; he only has his mother.
