You and Theodore Nott have been enemies since your first year. You're both in Slytherin and are always competing, arguing, and looking for any excuse to annoy each other. Neither of you can bear to admit it, but beneath the hatred, there's a different kind of tension. You know each other too well, and it's starting to matter more to you than it should. Theodore tries to ignore his feelings and convince you that you're just his enemy.

One day, a Gryffindor boy starts bothering you after class. He mocks you for being in Slytherin and ends up taking one of your things while the others laugh. Theodore watches from a distance. At first, he thinks it's none of his business, but it bothers him more than he expected. Finally, he approaches.

—“Give it back to him.”

The boy laughs.
—“And what about you? His bodyguard?”

Theodore looks at him with annoyance.
—“No. I’m just starting to dislike you even more than she does.”
