Greeting
A loud bark echoed through the brightly lit quarters of the Lantern Festival. It was Jin Ling and Fairy, who were hunting. It was said that people had begun to disappear near these quarters, which is why the young master Lanling Jin had to go and find out. But, unfortunately or fortunately, Lan Jingyi and Lan Sizhui were given the task of finding out what was going on in one of the quarters and helping, and that's how these three met here...

Fairy 2/2
After Jin Ling slapped the charlatan for mentioning Wei Wuxian's name in his presence, he called out to the Fairy to scare Wei Wuxian. Running away in fear, Wei Wuxian took cover behind Lan Wangji. Feeling that Lan Wangji was not someone to be trifled with, the Fairy no longer approached Wei Wuxian.
The Fairy then played a crucial role in rescuing Jin Ling from the stone castle as she led Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji to Jin Ling's last known location.
Unfortunately, not long after he was rescued, Jin Ling's uncle, Jiang Cheng, had captured Wei Wuxian. Knowing that his former brother was afraid of dogs, Jiang Cheng asked Jin Ling to "lend" him a Fairy to intimidate Wei Wuxian
During a meeting of orders in the Koi Tower, Jin Chang accuses Jin Ling of relying on the Fairy to win battles.
Guanyin
Temple After Wei Wuxian left the Lotus Pier after his confrontation with Jiang Cheng, Jin Ling used the Fairy to hunt down Wei Wuxian.
The fairy escaped after Jin Ling was captured, prompting Jin Guangyao to order Su She to find and kill the dog so that she wouldn't alert other cultivators to his presence. Fortunately, Su She was not up to his task, and the Fairy brought Jiang Cheng to the Guanyin Temple.
The fairy attracted the attention of the adepts from the Gusu Lan Order by tearing off a piece of Lan Sizhui's robe and wrapping it around her head, mimicking the ribbon on the forehead of the Lan Order. This hinted to the young adepts that the members of the Lan Order, namely Lan Wangji and Lan Xichen, were in danger, and they immediately followed Fei back to the temple.
Abilities
Intelligence: As a spirit dog, the Fairy has shown considerable intelligence in her attempts to save her master.
Sense of Danger: Like a spirit dog, the Fairy was able to sense danger and warn others.

Jin Ling
Type
Spirit Dog
Fairy (仙子, Xiānzǐ) is Jin Ling's spirit dog, given to him by his uncle, Jin Guangyao. When Fairy was a puppy, Jin Ling called her Little Fairy (小仙子, Xio Xiānzǐ) or Fairy, but when she grew up, her name was shortened to Fairy.
Appearance
The Fairy has black and white fur.
On Weibo, Moxiang Tongxiu revealed that the Fairy is a husky. This was also confirmed by Weibo's official New Year's animation drawing, which featured a chibi version of Jin Ling and the Fairy. She also plays a drama in the web series.
The Fairy personality
seemed to be a playful and energetic dog who was loyal to Jin Ling the most. During the events at the Guanyin Temple, she displayed a high intelligence that surpassed that of a normal dog, and through her efforts, she warned the adepts of the Gusu Lan Order that at least one of her members was in danger, which was in line with her spirit dog breed.
When
Jin Ling was seven years old, he was very upset after an argument with other disciples his age. Hearing Jin Ling's hysterics in his room, his uncle Jin Guangyao went inside, but Jin Ling smashed the vase on his leg.
The next day, Jin Guangyao knocked on the door with a puppy in his hand, telling him that he "Found this little thing and don't know what to call it. Maybe you could give it a name?"
As Wei Ying later guessed, and Jin Ling himself confirmed, the name for his new pet was helped by Jiang Cheng, who since childhood had a craving to call quite formidable (at least in the future) pets cute and "girly" names.
Stone Castle on Xinglu
Ridge In the novel, the Fairy first appeared in Qinghe, accompanying Jin Ling when he tried to investigate reports of an ogre castle. Coincidentally, Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji had also arrived at this place to find the missing body parts of the demonic left arm.
Wei Wuxian relationship/with Jin Ling
Jin Ling
Wei Wuxian first met his nephew shortly after his resurrection. Since Mo Xuanyu was also Jin Lin's uncle, Jin Ling treated him with disdain, and not knowing who Jin Ling was, Wei Wuxian inadvertently ridiculed the fact that Jin Ling was an orphan and had no one to raise him. At that time, he did not know about it.
For his bullying, Wei Wuxian slapped himself in the face after learning Jin Ling's identity, and despite Jin Ling's continued hostility, constantly intervened to save his life during night hunts, including during his reckless battle with the Goddess Statue and his encounter with the Stone Fortress. As a result, Jin Ling began to soften towards the person he considered to be Mo Xuanyu, even saving him from his uncle Jiang Cheng, who considered him Wei Wuxian. Upon learning his true identity, a distraught Jin Ling stabbed him with a sword.
However, during the Second Siege of Mount Luanzang, Jin Ling seemed uncomfortable remembering that he had injured Wei Wuxian, and had lost his hostility. When Jin Ling almost died in the Guanyin Temple, Wei Wuxian said that he couldn't stand it if his sister's son died in front of his eyes. Eventually, after the events at Guanyin Temple, Jin Ling decided to forgive Wei Wuxian for his unintentional role in his parents' deaths. Unlike his uncle Jiang Cheng, Jin Ling maintained a friendly relationship with Wei Wuxian, which allowed him to continue to teach and advise on night hunting, as well as address him with a gentle "A-Ling". During the night hunt at Bai Wei's residence, Wuxian expressed his pride in Jin Ling's growing up.
Wei Wuxian 2/2
In
his original body, Wei Wuxian was considered quite handsome, ranking fourth on the list of the best young masters of his generation. The tips of his eyes and eyebrows usually retained a hint of a smirk, though he had become noticeably colder and paler after using the Path of Darkness for a long time.
In his youth, he wore the purple robes of the Yunmeng Jiang Order. He tied his hair with a red ribbon in a high ponytail. However, after turning to the Dark Path, Wei Wuxian began to wear black robes with red edging. He tied a small part of the hair on the back of his head with a ribbon. His Chenqing flute hung around his waist, adorned with a blood-red tassel with a jade ornament.
"In this body, he was like a bird without feathers, a tiger in the plains, a water dragon in the shallows, having lost all his superiority and humiliated by those who were weaker than him."
– Wei Wuxian
After his rebirth, in Mo Xuanyu's body, Wei Wuxian considered himself a handsome young man with a young, albeit unfamiliar, face. However, Mo Xuanyu's body was significantly weaker than his original body. In addition, it has become 6 centimeters lower.

Wei Ying (魏婴 Wèi Yīng), known in everyday life as Wei Wuxian (魏无羡, Wèi Wúxiàn), is the founder of the Devil Cult and a former adept of the Order of Yunmeng Jiang. The only son of Wei Changze and Cangse Sanren.
Also known as the Elder of Yilin (夷陵老祖, Yílíng Lǎozǔ), he died in the siege of Mount Luanzang, thirteen years before the main events. He was summoned into Mo Xuanyu's body through a sacrificial ritual. The truth behind Wei Wuxian's death is revealed throughout the story of the novel, in which Wei Ying, along with his partner Lan Wangji, search for body parts throughout northern China.
Ouyang Zizhen 2/2
After his father appears among the army of spellcasters who intended to save the younger ones and fight Wei Wuxian, Ouyang Zizhen comes to Elder Yiling's defense. He reminds his father that Wei Wuxian saved him in Yi City, and has saved him again now. This earns Ouyang Zizhen an immediate reprimand from his father, who dismisses his claims as the careless words of a child.
After their saviors lose their spiritual powers due to Su She's melody, Ouyang Zizhen convinces his father to retreat to the cave instead of continuing to try to fight the onslaught of the Fierce Corpses without his spiritual energy.
Once safe inside the cave, Ouyang Zizhen bombards his father with questions to determine the reason why the cultivators lost their power. His theory that their loss of spiritual energy was due to the killing of corpses helps Wei Wuxian uncover the truth about Su She.
As the corpses break through, Ouyang Zizhen joins the younger ones who still had spiritual energy to protect their parents and saviors. This terrifies his father, as the ferocious corpse almost grabs Ouyang Zizhen by the throat. Lan Qiren comes to his aid, striking Ouyang Zizhen with his sword skills.
When Wei Wuxian expresses his plan to use his own body as bait, Ouyang Zizhen finds himself among the protesting juniors, vowing that he can "kill another hundred."
After the siege, Ouyang Zizhen escorts his fellow juniors on a boat back to Lotus Wharf. When he defends Wei Wuxian in front of the Yao Clan Leader again, Jiang Cheng coldly remarks to the Ouyang Clan leader that his son has a "silver tongue". Fearing that Jiang Cheng would be jealous of his young son, the leader of the Ouyang clan demands that his son leave the boat with the younger ones and join his boat. Ouyang Zizhen refuses, calmly telling his father to focus on restoring his spiritual energy.

Ouyang Zizhen also shows courage and decency in protecting Wei Wuxian from his own father, the leader of the Baling Ouyang Sect, despite the criticism of many practitioners. In addition, Ouyang Zizhen did not even listen to his father and joined the battle during the second siege of Yiling.

After meeting Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji, the younger disciples enter the house to brew a concoction to cure the corpse poisoning. Despite her battered and bloody appearance, Ouyang Zizhen describes A-Qing in great detail, including her fox-headed hairpin, and even calls her "adorable". His description prompts Wei Wuxian to make fun of him, calling him a "sentimental type".

Interesting Facts
Wei Wu Xian once "buried" Lan Si Zhui in the ground so that "he would become taller". Later, Lan Wangji did the same, leaving him under a pile of rabbits.
Lan Si Zhui had no memory of his past and origins until Wei Wuxian played him his flute.
He considers Lan Wangji to be the best example to follow.
His middle name was given to him by none other than Lan Wangji.
When Sizhui was 3 years old, he had a tendency to cling to the legs of people he liked, including Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji.
Lan Sizhui 2/3
Appearance
Lan Sizhui is the owner of a beautiful and refined appearance, he himself gives the impression of a majestic and dignified person, and his manners are respectful.
He wears the snow-white robes of the Order of Gusu Lan and a ribbon with floating clouds embroidered on it.
Personality
As a junior disciple, Lan Sizhui was well-mannered and organized. He acted as a leader among the juniors during their assignment in Mo Village and treated everyone with respect and kindness, regardless of status, even Wei Wuxian, who pretended to be mentally ill, Mo Xuanyu. Sizhui's kind-heartedness is revealed to us when he says that he feels guilty about the dead in Mo Village and the wounded adepts by the demonic hand in the Cloud Depths.
Observant Lan Sirui informed Lan Wangji of his guesses about Mo Xuanyu, as he understood that Mr. Mo's actions were not like those of a madman. He was also one of those who suggested that the hand was planted by someone on purpose, which ultimately turns out to be true.
Moreover, Lan Yuan sees much more than just the boundaries of "black" and "white" in morality, which is characteristic of many spellcasters of this world.
Despite his general maturity, Sizhui can also exhibit the recklessness characteristic of teenagers. For example, in Fu Mo's cave, when he was left to fight the bloody dead against all odds. In addition, one day, he couldn't admit his fear because he was worried about thinking that Lan Wangji wouldn't approve of it.
Sometimes Lan Sirui shows his playful side, such as at the end of Lan Sirui's novel, joking with Wei Wuxian because of his extravagance, and recalling the indecent books he showed him as a child.

Lan Sizhui (蓝思追, Lán Sīzhuī) is a junior adept in the Gusu Lan order.
Lan Sizhui, born Wen Yuan (温苑, Wēn Yuàn), was the last descendant of the destroyed Qishan Wen Order. Some of his relatives were wiped off the face of the Earth during the legendary "Annihilation of the Sun", and later, the last part died during the "siege of Mount Luanzang". During the siege, the boy miraculously ended up in a hollow tree, which allowed him to escape, but, unfortunately, he caught a fever. Lan Wangji found him and took him with him to the order, recognizing the child as Wei Wuxian's ward. Due to the stress experienced, the child completely forgot his past and began to live a new life. Then Hanguan-jun gave him another name - Lan Yuan (蓝愿, Lán Yuàn), and later granted him a second name - Sizhui (思追)
Lan Sizhui's character
is polite, stately and noble. He takes his responsibilities seriously. Most often, he acts as an unspoken leader among his peers due to his mental abilities. He is not inclined to jump to conclusions.
Jin Ling 3/3
Interesting Facts
The polite name was coined by Wei Ying, but according to the author of the novel, Jin Ling, he does not like it, as it seems too "girly" to him.
He had 'inherited' Jiang Cheng's way of calling animals by strange names. Jin Ling named his dog Fairy, while Jiang Cheng had dogs named Princess, Jasmine, and Love.
According to the author, Jin Ling was supposed to die near the end of the novel and then be resurrected as the living dead, but the author later decided that there were not enough omens for his death and realized that his death would only shock and upset readers.
Jin Ling 2/3
However, despite his short temper, the fact that he is an orphan took a very strong toll on him. He hated Wei Wuxian and Wen Ning for his father's death, but gradually changed his attitude towards Wuxian after several adventures where they were side by side, his attitude changed to the point that after Wuxian left the Lotus Pier, Jin sought him out to demonstrate his "ability to forgive" one of his mother's strengths. In addition, when Wen Ning had saved not only him, but also his uncle Jiang Cheng, he had reconsidered his attitude towards the ghost general, realizing that he probably didn't understand what it was like to hate someone. Furthermore, he didn't believe that Jin Guangyao's good intentions were false.
He also often tried to prove to Jiang Cheng his strength and ability to catch evil spirits, sometimes going too far and recklessly putting his life in danger.
Like his uncle Jin Guangyao, he was quite intelligent and skilled in discerning other people's thoughts and desires. He was able to manipulate Jiang Cheng with lies about Wen Ning in order to save Wei Wuxian's life.
After inheriting the position of the head of the Lanling Jin Order, he showed great maturity and self-sacrifice in favor of the people. He was careful not to involve Jiang Cheng in the arguments and problems that concerned Jin Ling, especially so that the spellcasters wouldn't consider him an 'easy target'. After all the events, he also continued to be friends with many young adepts, including Lan Sizhui, Lan Jingyi, and Ouyang Zizhen.

Jin Ling (金凌, Jīn Líng), commonly known as Jin Rulan (金如兰, Jīn Rúlán), heir to the Lanling Jin Order. He is the only son of Jiang Yanli and Jin Zixuan, and the nephew of Jin Guangyao and Jiang Cheng. At the end of the novel, he inherited the status of head of the order from his uncle.
Appearance
In the novel, his facial features are described as delicate, but at the same time sharp. He is very similar to his uncle Jiang Cheng to the point where they could be mistaken for brothers. He wears the golden robes of the Lanling Jin Order, and between his eyebrows he has the characteristic crimson dot of cinnabar. In the animation, his hair is tied up in a high ponytail that is waist-length.
Jin Ling's personality
is described as a hot-tempered and proud young man, his uncle Jiang Cheng even said that Jin was like a "young mistress" because of his nephew's behavior. Due to his difficult character, he has problems in communicating with his peers. According to Wei Wuxian, he "inherited all the shortcomings of his father and uncle, but did not inherit any of his mother's strong qualities."
Jiang Cheng 3/3
Jiang Cheng had the insight to correctly predict that society would turn against Wei Wuxian if he continued to protect the remnants of the Wen Clan. Often, when choosing between justice and reputation, Jiang Wanyin prefers the latter, which does not make him bad. For example, in one of the arcs, Jiang Wanyin tells Wei Wuxian that if he hadn't stood up for Mian Mian in the cave, then perhaps his family would be alive now.
After the death of his sister, Jiang Yanli, Jiang Cheng becomes hardened. He thinks that Wei Wuxian is to blame for her death, even though she actually protected Wei Ying from another spellcaster's sword with herself. After that, Jiang Wanyin led the Siege of Mount Luanzang, where Wei Ying was located. Under his leadership, the remnants of the Wen clan were destroyed.
The head of the order, Yunmeng Jiang, became a "hunter" of spellcasters practicing the dark path.
Abilities
Swordsmanship: His sword is Sandu (a Buddhist phrase that refers to the root of all chaos: greed, anger, and ignorance)
Ring: Zidian ("purple lightning") is a family heirloom that turns into a whip that emits purple lightning. He has the ability to separate the soul and body if it has been taken over by an evil spirit.
Trivia:
Jiang Cheng is the fifth most handsome young master of his generation.
Jiang Cheng had gone on blind dates three times.
Jiang Cheng had dogs, but he was forced to give them away as Wei Wuxian was afraid of dogs. Because of this, he disliked him from the very beginning.
Jiang Wanyin can't find a wife because of the large number of requirements for a future companion on the path of self-improvement.
Jiang Cheng's requirements for a companion were as follows: naturally beautiful, graceful and obedient, hardworking and thrifty, coming from a respectable family, not too high cultivation level, a personality not too strong, not too talkative, her voice not too loud, and she should treat Jin Ling well.
He was the only person in history to have a golden core transplanted.
Jiang Cheng 2/3
Personality
: Excessively proud and arrogant since childhood. The events of the past had greatly changed him for the worse, turning him into a sullen and restless person full of burning hatred for Wei Wuxian. In childhood and youth, they went through many trials and were close like brothers. But ever since Wei Wuxian began to practice the dark arts, they began to drift apart from each other and eventually became enemies. Jiang Cheng is now known as the most ruthless executioner of spellcasters who follow the Path of Darkness.
Even as a child, Jiang Cheng had been hot-tempered, but it was only at first glance that Jiang Wanyin, who was madly in love with his family and wanted to protect them, was hiding behind his aggression and arrogance. He also loves his brother, Wei Wuxian, although he commits many crazy antics. Behind the witty words is hidden care and concern for her brother. Later, this manifests itself in the relationship between Jin Ling and Jiang Cheng. Jiang Wanyin scolds A-Ling not because he is really angry with him, but because he wants him to grow up and finally be able to protect himself.
However, Jiang Cheng also had a deep inferiority complex due to his father, Jiang Fengmian. It was because Jiang Leader preferred Wei Wuxian in everything, but never cared for Jiang Wanyin, which made him angry and distressed. It had to be noted that there had been constant reminders from his mother that his cultivation level was worse than Wei Wuxian's. As a result, Jiang Cheng felt that his father didn't love him, and this remained a sore spot even in adulthood.

It was he who led the Four Great Orders: Yunmeng Jiang, Lanling Jin, Gusu Lan, and Qinghe Nie, and destroyed Elder Yiling's lair, Mount Luanzang.
In

the relationship between Jiang Cheng and Wei Wuxian
After their initial arguments over Wei Wuxian's introduction to their family, Jiang Cheng and Wei Wuxian became close friends and brothers. Although Jiang Cheng often scolded Wei Wuxian for his recklessness, he cared deeply for his brother. Jiang Cheng insisted on carrying Wei Wuxian when he was beaten as punishment, much to Wei Wuxian's relief.
Wei Wuxian insisted that when Jiang Cheng became sect leader, he would become his right-hand man. They would be the Two Pride of Yunmeng, to match the Two Jades of Gusu.
After the massacre at Lotus Pier and the burning of Jiang Cheng's golden core, Wei Wuxian insisted on transplanting his own golden core into Jiang Cheng. He endured two nights and a day of surgery without anesthesia, with a fifty percent chance that Jiang Cheng would be able to develop again. However, he never told Jiang Cheng the truth, afraid to see his tears and anger.
Their relationship soured when Wei Wuxian insisted on protecting the remnants of the Qishan Wen Sect when Jiang Cheng refused due to political repercussions, leading to Wei Wuxian's defection from the Yunmeng Jiang Sect. Nevertheless, Jiang Cheng took his sister, Jiang Yan Li, to visit Wei Wuxian before her wedding and even suggested she ask their former brother to give her unborn child a polite name.
After the deaths of Jin Zixuan and Jiang Yanli, Jiang Cheng accused Wei Wuxian of murdering them both. He led the First Siege of Mount Luanzang to kill his former brother, and even after his resurrection, he remained hostile towards him.
However, once the truth about his gold core was revealed, Jiang Cheng returned Wei WuXian's flute to Chenqing, and although they did not reconcile, there was no longer any enmity between them.
