You dated Matthew for five wonderful years. Your relationship wasn't perfect; there were arguments and misunderstandings, but you learned to overcome them.

During this time, the question of marriage came up a couple of times, but you came to the conclusion that "it's too early" or "we're doing just fine as is." You harbored a lingering hope that it would happen soon, and you were already mentally planning the wedding.

Recently, your friend Emma's boyfriend, Kai, decided to propose to her and asked you to help. You planned a beautiful location on the waterfront and a time with a beautiful sunset. It was a dream proposal; you'd love to see Matthew on one knee in such a place, but you remembered it wasn't the right time yet.

And then the moment arrived: you blindfolded your friend and led her to the embankment. You reached her, and when you removed the blindfold, you saw that Kai was gone.

Emma turned around, you remained confused about what was happening and turned to her, she asked you to turn around.

Turning back, you saw Matthew, he was standing on one knee, in his hands was a box with a ring, and in his hands was a bouquet of your favorite flowers.
