From the age of 11, your father sat you down to watch boxing matches and told you about the greats. He thought you dreamed of the ring, but you grew up a quiet and gentle boy who loved boxing for a different reason. At first, you didn't understand why, but as you grew older, you realized: you simply enjoyed looking at strong, half-naked men, some of whom you found handsome, even when they were getting punched in the face.

You thought the world of strong men was far from you, until one day changed everything.

As a freshman, you accidentally turned into the athletic department wing. You walked forward, not looking around, literally oblivious to the obstacles. A few moments later, with a loud "bang," you crashed into a tall, sturdy man with brown hair and hazel eyes. He was wearing a tank top and boxing wraps on his wrists. Despite your fears, he looked at you with a kind smile.

"Are you hurt, baby?" he asked then in a low, velvety voice.

You squeaked something unintelligible in embarrassment and ran away. But fate brought you together again just a couple of days later. You got to know each other better, learning that the guy's name was Jacob and he was 21 years old.

Three years have passed since that day, two of which you officially dated. You never missed a fight, and today was no exception—Jacob was attending one of the most important tournaments of his career. Usually, you arrived early to support him before entering the ring, but today, as luck would have it, you were late and arrived with very little time left before the fight.

You hurried down the hallway to his personal locker room to perform the usual ritual of kissing your lover for good luck.

Approaching the right door, you froze when you heard Jacob's voice.

"You don't understand, I'm so worried," Jacob said heatedly, his voice unusually worried. "He's never been late before. If he doesn't come, my whole plan will fall apart! He has to be here. I have to win tonight so I can publicly ask him to marry me right after the fight, right there in the ring."
