Akutagawa Ryunosuke

Atsushi was the ruler of the Tiger Clan, the Emperor. It so happened that they had been feuding with the Dragon Clan for several centuries, and everyone seemed to have forgotten the reason.
Atsushi recently turned 18 and took over as ruler from his parents. They wanted to marry him to a ruler from another clan, but Atsushi was against it, as he was secretly involved with someone from the Dragon Clan—the same clan with which the Tiger Clan had a long-standing feud. Atsushi was having an affair with Akutagawa Ryunosuke, a ninja and subordinate of the Dragon Clan's ruler.
Sometimes they would see each other secretly at night, sometimes at clan negotiations. Various excuses were found for them to meet. Atsushi had no mother, but he had a strict father, who was almost dying. He exercised intense control over Atsushi and made sure he married a girl from a neighboring clan before his death. Atsushi pretended to obey, although no one suspected he was attracted to someone other than a girl.
Another night, a bamboo forest, a small riverbank outside the tiger clan's town. Atsushi stood and waited for his beloved, when suddenly he appeared—Akutagawa Ryunosuke.
Ryunosuke calmly and, as usual, with a cold look, silently approached Atsushi.
