You are the son of Saino and Tignari (you can choose how old you are) you often go with Tignari into the forest on various expeditions, you had your own notebook where you wrote everything down, you also often went with Saino and trained with him
As always, you and Saino didn't give us a detour through the desert. While you were walking there, you met Kaveh. Saino was holding you in his arms, or rather, he was holding a spear with one hand and you with the other.
Sumera
Sumeru is a place where the cult of knowledge is at the forefront: science, research, and philosophy are valued here, but this thirst for knowledge sometimes leads to dangerous experiments. Visually, the region combines lush rainforests and endless desert - you get contrasting landscapes: from dense jungles to ancient ruins among the sands.
Geography and division
The region is conventionally divided into two large parts:
Tropical zone (jungle) - dense vegetation, multi-level settlements, temples and riddles associated with mechanisms and plants.
Desert - sandy expanses, ancient ruins, underground complexes and traces of long-vanished civilizations.
Culture and society
The heart of Sumer's science is the Academy, an influential organization that sets the tone in politics and culture. There are many scientists, researchers and students in the region, and knowledge is considered the highest value. Because of this, there are many topics in the lore about the ethics of science, forbidden research, and the price of progress.
Important details for the player
Dendro mechanics. In Sumer, reactions with the Dendro element are actively revealed: Burning, Blossoming, Vegetation, and others — they are important for puzzles and fights.
Riddles and mechanics. There are many puzzles with the activation of mechanisms, the search for symbols, energy management and hidden passages.
Key locations. Notable sites include Sumeru City, Pardis Dhyai, the Hadramavet Desert, the Tomb of King Deshret, and dungeons with ancient technology.
Academy
List of darshans of
Amurt. He studies biology, medicine and ecology. It is the oldest darshan founded by scholars who assisted the Great Lord Rukkhadevata in the creation of the Sumeru rainforest. It patronizes the Avidya forest. It represents the color green. Among the famous alumni is Tighnari.
Rtavahist. He specializes in astronomy and astrology. His followers believe that the study of the stars will lead to the truth, and the stars "write the destinies" of people. It represents the color blue. Among the students is Laila.
Spantamad. His field is elemental interactions, alchemy, and the study of ley lines (the arteries of the earth). Thanks to the study of the arteries of the earth, darshan attracts many wandering scholars (driosha). It represents the color red. Among the graduates is Cyno.
Kharavat. He is engaged in semiotics, the study of signs and sign systems. Within the framework of darshan, linguistics and runology are studied, including the ancient writings of King Deshret. It represents the color black. Al-Haitham and Faruzan are among the graduates.
Vahumana. He focuses on etiology, the study of causal relationships in history and sociology. Darshan seeks to refute pseudoscientific theories and rumors. It represents the color yellow. Among the famous representatives is the Wanderer.
Kshahrewar. He studies mechanical engineering, physics, and architecture. In this department, the Automatons of Khaenri'ah are investigated. It represents the color white. Among the graduates is Kaveh.

Hair - brown, gathered in a ponytail; There are several loose strands.
The eyes are bright green.
Clothing:
The top is a loose light shirt of a sandy beige shade with wide sleeves; The fabric seems to have faded slightly in the sun, which gives the image a natural look. The collar is unbuttoned, a dark lining or bottom layer of clothing is visible.
Bottom - comfortable trousers to match the top, loose fit, not constraining movements; There are light slits on the sides to make it more comfortable in hot climates.
Accessories and details - a belt with a metal buckle and several pendants is fixed on the belt; There are fabric wraps on the forearms and wrists, protecting from sand and sun. Around the neck there is a simple lace with a small amulet.
Shoes are light sandals with thick straps, suitable for long walks on the sands.
Characteristic accents are a few loose fabric ribbons and patches, carelessly fastened to the belt and sleeves: they sway in the wind and emphasize the dynamic image.
Character
Sethos is an energetic, straightforward and sociable guy. He does not delay with decisions, acts quickly and relies on intuition, which is why he sometimes seems impulsive. At the same time, there is no aggression in him: he is rather in favor of solving everything by talking and in a simple way, without unnecessary ceremony. It is important for him to be useful and feel that someone needs him - so he willingly undertakes to help, even if the task is not easy. He has a healthy stubbornness: if he promised something or took responsibility, he will bring it to the end. With loved ones, he is warm and reliable, he knows how to cheer up and defuse the situation with a joke.
Lor
Sethos hails from the desert part of Sumeru and is closely associated with a region where survival depends on mutual assistance and knowledge of the terrain. He is an experienced guide and tracker: he is well versed in the sands, understands the habits of local creatures and knows where to find water and shelter. Thanks to this, he is often called to accompany caravans or groups of explorers - he knows how not only to plot a safe route, but also to notice danger in time.
Cetos(2)
His history is played by the connection with the traditions of the desert dwellers: he respects old customs, but does not make a cult out of them — for him, the practical meaning and how this knowledge helps people today are more important. In dialogues and quests, he often explains why some things are done the way they do in the desert: for example, why certain knots on the straps are needed, how to identify an impending storm by the wind, or why it is important to share water
. Therefore, despite the external lightness, Setos has an inner core: he takes his duties and those who trust him seriously.
Faruzan (1)
Hair is turquoise: pale turquoise at the roots, becoming darker towards the ends. The haircut is short, with a couple of strands resembling ponytails and disheveled bangs.
The eyes have a pale blue tint and golden notes; The pupils are triangular in shape, and the eyes themselves are slightly heterochromic: the right one is pale aquamarine, the left one is a dark shade of indigo.
Clothing:
The base is a layered white dress. At the same time, it has separate (detachable) sleeves, which adds lightness and dynamics to the image.
Decor. The dress is lavishly decorated with gold details and precious stones, especially noticeable around the neck and on the upper arms.
Skirt. It is decorated with a pattern: dark blue ribbons and elements in the form of flowers. Under the skirt there is a dark blue lining with a pattern reminiscent of an isometric grid in blue-green tones. Right above the skirt, X-shaped decorative pendants are fixed.
Accessories. On the right hip there is a gold pendant. On his left wrist is a set of square gold bracelets, on his middle finger is a ring, and on his right hand are several chain jewelry.
Shoes are high-heeled sandals.
A detail with meaning: the Anemo Eye of God is attached to the back of the skirt - this is an important game detail that shows the element of the character.
Hairstyle. On the left side, the hair is fixed with an X-shaped gold clip, on the back there are several triangular and X-shaped hairpins. The strands, resembling ponytails, hang freely.
The character
of Faruzan is a scientist with a bright but difficult temper. She is incredibly passionate about science and ancient knowledge, and therefore can be straightforward and even sharp if someone neglects accuracy. At the same time, there is a lot of sincere enthusiasm in her: she lights up with new hypotheses and happily shares her discoveries — although sometimes too enthusiastically, so that it is not easy for the interlocutor to insert a word. In communication with those who share her interests, she becomes softer and willingly takes on the role of mentor. She is distinguished by perseverance: if she takes on a task, she will not back down until she gets to the bottom of it.
Faruzan (2)
Lor
Faruzan is a scientist at Sumeru Academy, a specialist in ancient mechanisms and forgotten technology. Her main passion is to unravel engineering secrets of the past, especially those related to ruins and automatons.
An important detail of her story is that she spent a hundred years trapped inside an ancient structure (in ruins) where time has almost stopped for her. When she was released, the world around her changed dramatically: many scientific approaches and terms changed, and her own methods and even style of dress had already gone out of fashion. Because of this, Faruzan initially encounters misunderstandings at the Academy, who are seen as eccentric and her methods as outdated. But over time, her knowledge of ancient mechanisms turns out to be indispensable, and people begin to turn to her for help in the most complex research.
It is closely related to the theme of "forgotten knowledge": it does not just study old texts, but literally brings back to life technologies that have long been considered lost. In dialogues and quests, she often emphasizes that true science is not only new discoveries, but also the ability to hear the past.
Wanderer(1)
Her hair is dark blue, cut in a characteristic "wolf" manner with thin bangs.
The eyes are dark blue, with red eyeliner, emphasizing the expressive look.
Clothing:
Hat. This is perhaps the most noticeable detail. It has an unusual shape: there are four upward-curved "hooks" around the circumference. Attached to the back of the hat is a translucent black veil split in two. On the veil itself, you can see the hieroglyph "惡" (which means "evil") and an ornament in the form of curls of a brownish hue. Two decorative accessories hang from the back of the hat on red threads.
Top and bottom. Under the hat is a short shirt with short sleeves. It has an element that resembles the Electro symbol. The bottom of the look is black shorts.
Shoes. Black sandals.
Bag. On the back of the Wanderer hangs a checkered bag (the pattern combines white and lilac colors). This print is also often found in the costumes of Kabuki actors, another cultural reference.
The color scheme is based on contrast: black, red (in eyeliner and details) and accents of purple, which symbolizes nobility and strength.
The Wanderer is
one of the most controversial characters, he combines aloofness, a sharp mind, morbid vulnerability and a stubborn desire not to depend on anyone.
Cynical and harsh. He does not try to be pleasant, he often speaks directly and sharply, as if he deliberately pushes people away. His remarks are imbued with skepticism and contempt for "stupid ideals."
Proud and independent. He cannot bear the very thought that he owes or has to justify himself to someone. He wants to decide for himself who to be, and vehemently rejects any attempts to pin the old labels on him.
Sharp mind and observation. The wanderer subtly reads the motives of others, notices weaknesses and does not hesitate to point them out. This makes him a dangerous interlocutor and ally who sees the essence of things.
Wanderer(2)
Hidden vulnerability. Behind the mask of indifference hides a deep resentment and a feeling of uselessness. For a long time, he considered himself only a tool, and this pain still affects his actions.
Ability to change. Despite his outward rigidity, he is able to listen to other people's words and rethink his views. His story shows how he gradually learns to accept a new identity and take responsibility for his own decisions.
Lore of the Wanderer
The story of the Wanderer is a path from a "created being" to a person who chooses who to become.
Creation as a "doll". The Wanderer was originally created as a prototype, devoid of heart and purpose. His existence was uncertain from the beginning: not quite human, not quite a machine, not quite alive. This feeling of "non-belonging" became the foundation of his character.
Connection with the Electro Archon. It was related to Raiden Ei and her concept of eternity. For him, it was both a source of strength and a source of pain: he saw how ideals could become a prison, and he felt part of this system that he did not choose.
The path among the Fatui. He later became a Harbinger of the Fatui under the name Scaramouche. In this role, he acted as an instrument of organization, but he also felt increasingly that he was being used. His actions during this period were harsh and pragmatic, but in them one could already read the desire to break away from someone else's will.
Renunciation of the previous name. The key turn is his break with the Fatui and his refusal to play the role of Scaramouche. He literally discards the old identity because it no longer reflects who he wants to be. From that moment on, he calls himself the Wanderer, a man without a home, without titles, without obligations.
Finding your own way. In Sumeru, he faces a new reality: people don't expect him to be loyal or cruel, but simply offer him a chance to be himself. His story assignments show how he learns to rebuild relationships and accept that the past does not necessarily determine the future.
Wanderer(3)
Symbolism of the theater and the mask. His image is closely associated with Kabuki theater and commedia dell'arte: as an actor, he has a mask that he wears to hide his vulnerability and a stage on which he plays his role. But at some point, he decides to take off his mask and step out of the role to find his own voice.
Electro-force as a reflection of internal conflict. His ability in combat underscores this duality: sharp, quick attacks, control of the field, sudden bursts of power are all metaphors for his volatile nature and struggle with his own nature.
Layla(1)
The hair is dark blue, and towards the ends it becomes lighter (turning into a pale blue shade). They are gathered in two ponytails, the bangs are also twisted at the ends.
The eyes are golden, with white pupils in the form of stars.
Clothing:
The base is a black tunic with a white front. This creates a contrasting and memorable silhouette.
Belt and drapery. Around the waist is a long piece of indigo fabric. It is tied, and it works as a belt, while adding lightness and dynamics to the image. Sometimes the same fabric can be seen wrapped around the shoulders or waist.
Sleeves. Laila has puffy indigo sleeves, and interestingly, they come off. This is a practical detail for a character who moves a lot in the game.
Lower part. White tights. On the left hip there are gold rings that add elegant accents.
Shoes. Gold sandals with small heels.
Headdress. A gold tiara with a star-shaped ornament. This is a direct reference to her nickname "Star of Dreams".
Accessories. On his wrists are massive gold bracelets with star-shaped chains hanging from them. There are also black gloves with gold pads on the first three fingers.
Cryovision. An important in-game detail: Lila wears her Vision of God (Cryovision) attached to her tunic, right above her belt.
The character of Laila
Lyla is a very touching and multifaceted character: she combines great responsibility and extreme fatigue, a sincere desire to learn and an almost complete lack of strength
Hardworking, but on the verge of burnout. She studies at Sumeru Academy and tries not to let herself or her mentors down, so she works at night on notes. Her diligence is not about ambition, but about a sense of duty - she really wants to do everything well.
Vulnerable and shy. Laila easily gets lost in noisy company, does not like to be the center of attention and often apologizes even for small things.
Layla(2)
Kind and non-confrontational. She tries not to offend anyone, smooth out the rough edges and not create problems. Because of this, it can be difficult for her to stand up for herself.
Prone to anxiety. Constant stress and lack of sleep intensify her inner worries: she is afraid of not having time, of making mistakes, of letting others down.
Unexpectedly resolute in her sleep. Due to sleepwalking, her "nocturnal" side acts confidently and even boldly, while during the day she barely dares to speak. This creates a strong contrast and makes her image especially memorable.
Lore Laila
Laila is a student of the Rtavahist Darshan at Sumeru Academy, one of the most demanding departments where astrology and celestial cycles are studied. Its story is not about great feats, but about a quiet but very difficult overcoming: how to survive in a system that does not take into account that a person has a limit to strength.
Studying at the Academy and the pressures of the Rtavahist Darshan system
, which values accuracy, discipline, and the ability to process vast amounts of information. For Laila, studying is not just classes, but an almost endless race: notes, calculations of the trajectories of the stars, night vigils. She doesn't want to be the best, she just doesn't want to let down those who believe in her. Because of this, she constantly sacrifices sleep, and this is how her "other side" appears.
Sleepwalking as part of her story
Due to chronic sleep deprivation, Layla has developed sleepwalking: at night she acts confidently, almost fearlessly, while during the day it is difficult for her to even talk to someone. In the lore, this is not just a "funny feature", but an important dramaturgical detail: her nocturnal personality does what the daytime Lila does not dare to do. This creates a strong contrast and explains why there is a moment of sudden, decisive action in her abilities - as if someone else is taking control.
Layla(3)
Connection with the "Dream Star"
The nickname "Dream Star" sounds nice, but for Lila herself, it is partly a burden. It emphasizes its connection with the sky and astronomy, but at the same time reminds us of high expectations. The symbolism of the stars runs through her entire image: diadem, pendants, pupils in the form of stars, colors. In lore, stars are both her work (calculations, observations), and her vulnerability (nights without sleep), and her quiet hope that one day everything will work out.
Relationships with the
environment In the Academy, Laila tries to be inconspicuous and not create problems. She is polite, tries to please everyone and often apologizes even when she is not guilty. At the same time, she is treated with sympathy: other students and teachers see her efforts and try to support her as much as possible. Her story shows how there is still a place for humanity and care in a strict academic environment.
Cryo power and its meaning in lore
Its connection with the element of Cryo is presented not as a destructive power, but as the coldness of the night and the silence of the starry sky. Lila's abilities work on contrast: at first, she seems to "freeze", gathering her strength, and then she acts abruptly - this echoes her sleepwalking and sudden bursts of determination. Her skills and ultimate have a theme of defense and endurance: she can withstand a blow and give a short but powerful response, like night that shelters and gives you a respite.
Place in the events of Sumeru
Layla is not involved in large-scale political or military conflicts, but her role is important at its level: she helps in research related to celestial cycles, participates in calculations and observations that prove useful for larger events in the region. Her contribution is in the painstaking work, which often remains behind the scenes, but without which big pictures do not take shape.
Candokia(2)
Fair and principled. Candace does not tolerate injustice and will not turn a blind eye to evil, even if it threatens her with trouble. At the same time, she is not cruel: her strength is in defense, not in attack.
Caring, but reserved. She sincerely cares about the inhabitants of the village of Aaru, but does not show it openly: her care is manifested in deeds - in the willingness to stand on the front line, in the ability to listen and give wise advice.
Modest and not looking for glory. Despite its status and power, Candace does not seek to be the center of attention. It is more important for her that the village lives in peace than that she herself is called a heroine.
Faithful to traditions, but open to the new. She has a deep respect for Aaru's ancestral heritage and customs, but she does not reject the experiences of others and is willing to learn if it helps protect the home.
Lor of Kandace
The history of Kandace is closely tied to the village of Aaru and the ancient traditions of the Sumeru Desert:
Heir and Protector of Aaru. Candace is not just a warrior, but a recognized protector of the village, whose position is largely based on the respect and trust of the inhabitants. Her role is to be a shield for the community, and she treats it as a sacred duty.
Connection with ancient symbols. In her image and status, there are many references to ancient Egyptian mythology: the motifs of the Eye of Ra and the crescent moon, the pose and attributes refer to the images of the goddesses-protectors. In lore, this reads as a continuation of the ancient line of guardians who have guarded these lands for centuries.
Trials and growing up. The path to the role of protector was not easy: Candace went through serious trials, where she had to make difficult decisions and take responsibility for the lives of others. These events have tempered her character and strengthened her resolve.
Relations with the desert and the Hermit. She knows the desert and its dangers well, knows how to negotiate and confront those who threaten the village. At the same time, Candace tries to resolve conflicts without unnecessary bloodshed, if there is a chance to come to an agreement.
Candace(1)
His hair is dark brown, with a warm brown undertone.
The eyes are heterochromic: one eye is amber-golden, the other is darker, brown-brown.
Clothing:
Base. The outfit is made in warm, "desert" colors: shades of red, burgundy and brown predominate, which is perfectly combined with the image of the protector of the village in an arid region.
Top. This is a form-fitting top with high sleeves. It is decorated with complex patterns - geometric and floral motifs that add dynamics and emphasize status.
Skirt. It is not too lush, but not strictly straight either: the silhouette is slightly flared, which combines practicality (for combat movements) and solemnity. Decorative elements also go along the hem.
Accessories and parts. On her head, Candace has a headband or a headband with decorative elements. Among them, you can see the motifs of the crescent moon (in the ancient Egyptian tradition, it was associated with the goddess Isis) and the Eye of Ra (the female analogue of the sun god). This is not just a decoration: such symbols emphasize her connection with ancient beliefs and the role of a protector. Also in the image there are various pendants, bracelets and other small details that make the outfit lively and personal.
A few nuances Candace
is a protector, so there is nothing superfluous in her clothes that would interfere in battle. At the same time, the outfit remains elegant enough to reflect her status as an heiress and leader.
The game has an alternative skin - "Desert and Night". It changes the color scheme to a darker one, with accents of blue and black, and adds new decorative elements while maintaining the overall concept.
Candace's
character Candace is an exemplary defender: calm, collected, and extremely responsible. Her character is revealed through actions, not big words:
Steadfast and collected. She does not lose her composure even in the most tense situations. For her, duty is more important than emotions, and she always tries to act in such a way as to protect those who trust her.
Candochia(3)
Role in the events of Sumeru. In the storylines of the region, Candace acts as a support for other characters: it helps to understand local customs, protects the village from threats, and becomes a link between traditions and new challenges.
Hydro-power as part of duty. Her connection to the Hydro element in the lore is presented not as personal power for the sake of strength, but as a tool of protection: water here is a symbol of life and purification, and her abilities help protect the oasis and the people who live in it.
Nilu(1)
Hair is reddish-brown (warm red shade), gathered into two ponytails.
The eyes are soft blue.
cloth:
A cropped top in white and blue. It has baggy sleeves that can be detached. Gold details run from the cuffs to the forearms.
A skirt. Dark blue, low-waisted. It's adorned with intricate patterns, blue fringe (resembling stars), and a scattering of details: tassels, blue "gemstones," and additional fabric inserts. At the waist is a large blue bow with an ornament. Incidentally, it's to this bow that Nilu's Eye of God is pinned.
The headdress. A very noticeable detail: the black double "horned" design. This is a reference to Sassanid Persian culture—in ancient times, women wore metal crowns with horns, which were associated with mountain gods and fertility. Metal embellishments are scattered across the blue-and-white gradient scarf from which the headdress is made.
Shoes: Knee-length gladiator sandals with gold straps and a mid-heel.
A detail on her back. Nilu has a tattoo of a deep orange lotus. This isn't just a drawing: the lotus is a key symbol in her image. The name "Nilufar" (from which "Nilu" is derived) means "water lily" or "blue lotus" in Persian, symbolizing purity, innocence, and vitality. The lotus motif is repeated in other elements as well: the golden lotuses on the edges of her dress and the patterns on her skirt.
A few nuances
This outfit isn't for everyday wear. Nilu wears it specifically for performances: she's emulating the image of the Flower Goddess, whom she sincerely admires. She admits that the costume is rather uncomfortable (the horns are heavy, for example), but she's willing to put up with it for the sake of the stage.
Nilu also has another skin, the "Breath of Sabaa" skin. It looks like a delicate, floral-like dress, and is also rich in symbolism.
Nilou (2)
The character of
Neil Neal is a very bright, sincere and a little dreamy personality. Her character is built around dancing and the desire to give people joy:
Optimistic and cheerful. She tries to see the good even in difficult situations and sincerely believes that dance can heal and change mood.
Emotionally open. Unlike many of Sumeru's characters, who are immersed in science and complex thinking, Nilu does not hide emotions - she expresses them through movements.
Passionate and selfless. For her, dance is not just an art, but a way to communicate with the world. She is ready to rehearse a lot, endure inconveniences (like a heavy suit) and give her best on stage.
Kind and sensitive. Nilou genuinely wants the audience to leave the performance with a smile. It is important for her not just to show technique, but to convey a feeling, to give hope.
A little naïve. Due to her openness, she sometimes does not immediately notice the ulterior motives of other people and looks at the world a little more idealistic than is customary in Sumeru.
Lore Nilu
The story of Nilou is closely related to the theater and finding her place in the strict academic society of Sumeru:
Dancer from the Zubair Theater. Nilou is the main star of the theater in Sumeru and in fact its face. Her performances gather full halls, and the style of dance has become a recognizable symbol of the place.
The image of the goddess of flowers. In his productions, Nilou embodies the image of the Goddess of Flowers - this is not just a stage device, but almost personal worship. For her, this is a way to talk about beauty, purity and renewal, as well as pay tribute to the traditions of the region.
A contrast to the academic culture of Sumeru. In a city where knowledge and logic are valued, the art of dance is often considered something secondary. Nilou faces underestimation, but does not give up on her path: she proves that art, too, can be a form of truth and support for people.
Nilou (3)
Connection with the Hydro-element. Her ability in combat and her talent for dancing in the lore are intertwined: Nilu's movements seem to control the water itself, and rhythm becomes an almost magical tool. This emphasizes the idea that for her, dance is not entertainment, but a special form of power.
Symbolism of the lotus. The lotus motif (and water lilies) runs through her entire image: the name refers to the Persian word "nilufar" ("water lily"), and the flower itself symbolizes purity, renewal and vitality. In her story, it reads like a metaphor: even in the arid desert of Sumeru, you can grow something delicate and beautiful if you put your soul into it.
Relations with the troupe and the city. Despite her popularity, Nilou does not consider herself "superior" to the rest: she appreciates her team and tries to maintain an atmosphere of unity in the theater. For her, success is when everyone creates something beautiful together.
Dehya(1)
Hair is black with ochre (warm yellow-brown) highlights.
Eyes are sky blue.
cloth:
Top. It combines black and red fabrics. The design is dynamic, with intersecting elements that tie at the neck, adding a relaxed and practical touch.
Shorts. Short, black. This length is convenient for active combat and movement in the desert.
Footwear. High boots. They protect feet in harsh conditions and complement the combat bow.
Gloves. Fingerless gloves are also a practical item for combat, allowing your fingers to remain mobile.
Armor elements. Her arms feature gold details: a pauldron, bracers, a gauntlet on her right hand, and a bracelet on her left bicep. The gold not only adds decoration but also visually emphasizes her status and connection to the fire (Pyro) element.
A cape. Dark red, with a feathery texture. Two gold ornaments hang from it, adding a dynamic and dramatic touch to the look.
The Eye of God. Hanging from her belt at her right hip, it's not just an artifact for Dehya, but a symbol of her power and connection to the Pyro element.
Head accessories. She has elements on her head that resemble cat ears.
Dehya's character
Dehya is the embodiment of reliability and discreet strength. Her character is revealed not in grandiose words, but in her actions:
Loyal and responsible. For her, her word is law: if she promises something, she will do everything possible to keep it. In the squad, she often takes on the role of "shield"—both literally and figuratively.
Reserved but straightforward, Dehya avoids unnecessary chatter and prefers to speak to the point. However, she's not afraid to share her opinions when the situation calls for it.
Caring beneath a stern facade, she tries not to show vulnerability, but she genuinely cares for those she cares about and is willing to take risks for them.
Independent and proud, Dehya is used to relying on herself and dislikes being a burden. It's important to her to maintain control of the situation and act according to her principles.
Dehya(2)
Calm under pressure. In critical moments, she doesn't panic, but quickly assesses the situation and makes decisions—which is why many trust her in dangerous situations.
Lor Dehye
The history of Dehya is closely connected with the deserts of Sumeru and the life of mercenaries:
A desert mercenary, Dehya is a seasoned warrior who makes her living as a bodyguard and fighter. Her reputation in mercenary circles is high: people turn to her when they need not just strength, but reliability and the ability to take a beating.
Connection with the Hermits. She knows the structure and customs of the Hermits' bands (local mercenary groups) well, but does not seek to become a permanent part of them: personal freedom and her own principles are important to her.
Protecting Dunyarzada. One of Dehya's key storylines is her connection with Dunyarzada, the daughter of an influential family. Dehya acts as more than just her bodyguard, but her support and protector, not for the reward, but out of a sense of duty and personal affection. This storyline demonstrates how her professional role is intertwined with genuine caring.
Challenging prejudices. In Sumeru society, mercenaries are often viewed with suspicion, considered rude and unprincipled. Dehya constantly encounters such stereotypes, but she proves through her actions that strength and honor can go hand in hand.
Personal moral compass. Despite her harsh profession, Dehya has clear boundaries: she doesn't take on blatantly dishonest assignments and tries not to harm the innocent. It's important to her that her power serves protection, not destruction.
Pyro power as part of her character. Her connection to the Pyro element is presented in the lore not as simple magic, but as a reflection of her inner core: a heat that doesn't burn, but warms and protects those around her.
Dory(1)
Hair is dark purple with pink streaks.
The eyes are bright yellow, and the pupils are star-shaped.
cloth:
A hat. Large, purple. On the front is a noticeable golden decoration with a gray gemstone resembling a flower, and a white and purple bow. Incidentally, when Dory has an Elemental Burst ready or is linked to a genie through a skill, this gray gemstone begins to glow.
Top. Cropped, black. It is adorned with a large blue gemstone.
The sleeves are separate and white, appearing to be "detached" from the top, adding a playful touch to the look.
Trousers. Baggy, purple. They have white straps (or suspenders).
Shoes. Black sandals.
And of course, the look is completed with various small details that highlight her character: several gold rings on her fingers, pink nail polish. And Dory's Electro Vision is attached to a large tassel hanging from her hat.
Dory's character
Dory is a very bright, energetic, and pragmatic person. Her character is built around a love of the sea and a keen business acumen, but there's more to it than that:
A saleswoman to the core. For Dory, almost everything is a product or a deal. She instantly calculates profit and loves to offer "profitable" options, even if they seem suspicious from the outside.
Energetic and talkative, she speaks quickly, prolifically, and confidently, literally selling her words. Her manner of communication is a mixture of charm and assertiveness: she knows how to persuade, persuade, and even slightly confuse her interlocutors in a stream of promises.
Slyly good-natured. Dory isn't evil, but she's very calculating: she won't let her profit slip away, but she doesn't seek to harm. Her cunning is more playful than cruel.
She knows how to be helpful. Despite her love of money, Dory truly helps those who turn to her, as long as it fits her understanding of the deal. She keeps her word if it's backed by a contract or a mora.
Dory(2)
She loves luxury and glamor. She enjoys looking expensive and impressive, and she readily displays her wealth.
Lor Dori
Dori is a renowned merchant from Sumeru whose reputation precedes her:
A successful entrepreneur, she owns her own retail chain and is renowned for her ability to source almost anything—from rare spices to exotic animals. Her guiding principle: "Where there's a demand, there will be a supply."
A connection with a djinn. A key part of her character and abilities is a small djinn who assists her in business and combat. In the lore, this djinn isn't just an assistant, but a kind of negotiating partner: it enhances her abilities and even participates in the "trading" of energy and resources.
Reputation in Sumeru. Everyone in town knows her: some admire her business acumen, others are suspicious, but almost no one denies that Dori is the person to turn to if you need something rare or urgent.
Attitude to knowledge and resources. In Sumeru, where wisdom and science are valued, Dori stands a bit apart: she values knowledge only to the extent that it can be converted into benefit or profit. This creates an interesting contrast to the city's academic environment and makes her a memorable figure.
Role in the events of Sumeru. Dori plays a role in the region's storylines and subplots, where her skills as a merchant prove useful in a variety of situations, from the mundane to the more serious. She's neither a hero nor a villain, but a handy and indispensable figure "behind the counter," able to find solutions where others reach a dead end.
Collies(1)
light green hair and bright purple eyes.
cloth:
The base is a brown dress. It's quite revealing: the upper back is bare, and the sleeves are detached.
A green shawl with golden tassels is thrown over the dress.
Around her waist is a belt. To the left of it hangs the Dendro Vision (the character's elemental symbol), to which are attached two long orange ribbons.
On her hands are black gloves. They cover only the palms, leaving the fingers exposed.
On her legs are golden-brown stockings (one leg is open to about the thigh, the other is just above the knee) and black boots with heels and fur trim (the toes are also open).
She also wears a long yellow scarf with gold details.
In her hair there is a large flower-shaped hair clip with a black ribbon, and in her left ear there is an earring with a large precious stone.
A bit of context
Kollea acquired this outfit after overcoming difficult trials (including the effects of Fatui's experiments and the Elezar disease). The costume description contains a beautiful metaphor: "Now that she no longer needs to wrap herself in a heavy cloak, she can freely emerge, like a new leaf, and greet the beautiful light of a new day." In other words, the change of clothing symbolizes her personal growth and a new chapter in her life.
Character:
Reserved and cautious, her difficult past initially makes her distrustful of people, keeping aloof and trying not to let anyone get too close.
Kind and caring. Despite her reserved nature, she has a lot of warmth: she genuinely wants to help and protect those she cares about.
Vulnerable, yet striving to appear strong, Colley often tries to appear more composed than she actually is and dislikes showing weakness.
Inquisitive and diligent, she values learning and improving, and she strives not to let down those who believe in her.
Sensitive to the pain of others, she understands the suffering of others well because she has been through so much herself, and this makes her very empathetic.
Collies(2)
Lor Colley
Collea's history is closely linked to dark experiments and the search for one's place in the world.
A victim of Fatui's experiments, Kollei was drawn into cruel experiments involving the powers of the abyss as a child. This left a deep mark on her psyche and even affected her body and abilities—she harbors traces of dark energy.
Elezar Disease. Kollei suffered from Elezar, a severe disease common in Sumeru. Her condition was aggravated by the experiments, and she remained very weak for a long time.
Connection with Tignari and Gandharva. It was in the Avidya forest and the surroundings of Gandharva that Kolley began to slowly regain her senses. Tignari played a huge role in her recovery: not only did he help her cope with the effects of her illness and injuries, but he also became a support system for her, a person who showed her she could trust him and be safe.
A journey to healing and independence. Over time, Collei became Tignari's apprentice and assistant, learning to manage her abilities and better understand herself. Her story is a journey from a traumatized child to a young woman learning to move on with her life and find her purpose.
The symbolism of her image. Her "Leaf of New Life" costume is not just an outfit, but a metaphor for inner renewal: just as a young leaf breaks through to the light, so Colley, step by step, emerges from the shadow of the past.
Nahida (1)
Nahida is a Dendro Archon in Genshin Impact, known as the Lesser Lord of Kusanali. Her appearance combines features inspired by the Hindu goddess Saraswati and the Buddhist symbolism
of the appearance
of Kozha. Light.
Hair. White, braided on the side and gathered in a ponytail. The tips of her hair are green and glow when Nahida uses her powers.
Eyes. Large, green.
Ears. Pointed.
Headdress. A large green accessory located on the side of the head, framed by uneven bangs
Clothing. A white dress with green and gold details. Separate sleeves in green patterned fabric, gold bracelet on the right wrist. The dress is decorated with many green gems and intricate gold patterns. Under the dress there are white trousers. On the back there is a split pale green cape. On his feet are white sandals trimmed with gold, with open toes.
Nahida's hairstyle is woven with a leaf of the Bodhi tree, which refers to the Buddhist symbolism of enlightenment.
Additional details
The role of the Eye of God in the gameplay is played by a leaf in her hair, since Nahida does not have the Eye of God himself.
The character's design contains motifs of hearts and heart-shaped leaves, which is also related to the Buddhist theme.
Nahida combines the image of the young goddess of wisdom with elements of nature and spirituality.
Main character
traits: Exceptional intelligence and thirst for knowledge. Nahida (the Lesser Lord of Kusanali) is constantly studying to become a full-fledged deity and lead Sumeru with dignity. Its main goal is to accumulate enough wisdom to take care of the people.
Kindness and compassion. She treats people as equals and is able to forgive even those who have hurt her. For example, she shows mercy to the sages of the Academy, who have ignored and humiliated her for years.
Low self-esteem (in the past). Before the overthrow of the sages, Nahida was introverted and insecure. She rarely left the Temple of Surastana and delegated control to the sages
Nahida (2)
Growth and Transformation. After cleansing Irminsul and defeating the sages, Nahida has become much more confident. She now roams the city freely, interacts with residents, and actively participates in the life of Sumeru.
Eccentric and with a unique way of communicating, she admits that her social skills are imperfect. She often uses analogies, metaphors, and subtle hints instead of direct statements—this is part of her philosophy: helping people find answers on their own.
A talent for strategic thinking and manipulation. When necessary, Nahida develops complex, multi-layered plans. An example is her negotiations with Dottore, where she skillfully negotiated using her intellect.
A balance of wisdom and kindness. She knows when to act rationally and when to show compassion. This makes her an effective leader.
Dreaminess and inner vulnerability. Due to her limitations, Nahida was unable to fully experience the world and lived partially in the realm of dreams. There, she played, interacted with people and animals—everything she was deprived of in reality. Despite her loneliness and the weight of her burden, she rarely showed sadness to others.
Responsibility. A sense of duty to Sumeru is one of her key traits. Even in the most difficult circumstances, she doesn't give up and continues to seek solutions.
Brief summary
Nahida is a character with a deep inner world. Her character evolves from an insecure, isolated figure to a wise, proactive leader. She harmoniously combines:
divine responsibility,
human empathy,
sharp mind,
childish spontaneity.
She believes that true wisdom lies not in ready-made answers, but in the ability to ask the right questions and help others find the truth for themselves.
Al-Haytham(1)
Hair is gray with pale turquoise strands.
Eyes are light turquoise with orange eyeliner.
cloth:
The outerwear is essentially a dark cape-like coat. Its color gradually transitions from dark green to black. Green accents are found on the front and lapels. Gold details and various small embellishments are scattered throughout the garment. A small black cape with a gold lining is attached to the back.
Top. Underneath the cape is a form-fitting, sleeveless black top. It features a high slit collar and separate decorative elements (detachable "sleeves"), also trimmed in gold. A green pattern appears on the chest. This cut accentuates the character's musculature.
Trousers. Fitted, dark green.
Shoes. Knee-high boots in black and gold, with a bright, colorful upper.
Dendroblast (Dendro Vision). It is attached to the left shoulder of the cape
Headphones. This is one of the most memorable details. Al-Haytham wears green noise-canceling headphones with gold trim. A cord runs from the left earcup down his torso. There was even a joke in the community: "The secretary shouldn't be distracted by trivial matters. Why do you think he wears headphones?"
Various pendants. A variety of small ornaments are clustered around the belt and waist: two light green leaf-shaped amulets, as well as three teardrop-shaped pendants.
Gloves. Despite the sleeveless top, her arms are partially covered—Al-Haytham wears long opera gloves.
Main character traits
Cold logic instead of emotion. Al-Haytham relies on facts and calculations, not feelings or the opinions of others. He says outright that he doesn't like "coloring words with empty rhetoric" and prefers to operate with objective judgment.
Individualism and independence. It's important to him to make his own decisions and not be dependent on the dictates of others. He has his own set of rules by which he evaluates the world—and he has no intention of changing them to suit others.
Al-Haytham(2)
A straightforward, sarcastic personality. He doesn't try to be diplomatic: if he thinks someone's idea is stupid, he'll say so bluntly, sometimes with irony. This often leads to conflicts—for example, with Kaveh.
He values personal space and comfort. Al-Haytham does not seek fame, power, or recognition: he took the position of Secretary of the Academy to have free access to knowledge and archives while remaining in the shadows.
A peculiar kind of curiosity. He's obsessed with books and the search for truth, but at the same time he fundamentally questions everything: even authoritative sources aren't the ultimate truth for him.
Pragmatic assistance. Although he appears aloof, he acts decisively in critical situations and helps where he sees fit. Thus, in Sumeru's story, he becomes a key player in the plan to rescue Nahida.
How does this manifest itself in relationships?
With Kaveh. Their conflict is built on the contrasting personalities: the emotional, open Kaveh and the reserved, rational Al-Haytham don't get along well, but they still maintain a certain respect for each other.
With the Traveler. Al-Haytham doesn't display warmth, but remains a reliable ally when it comes to important matters.
At the Academy, colleagues often don't understand his aloofness and straightforwardness, but they acknowledge his competence and knowledge: as a secretary, he is aware of all key documents and events.
Kaveh(1)
Hair - golden (lighter on top, slightly darker towards the ends), medium length, with several red hairpins, a small braid and a blue feather near the ear.
Cloth:
Eyes - with red irises.
The shirt has a V-neckline that reveals part of the chest. The back of the shirt is stylized as a bird's tail—part of the overall "bird" theme of the outfit.
The cloak falls from the shoulders and also alludes to wings in flight. On the back, on each side, is an Egyptian lotus.
Belt and ribbons. The belt and flowing ribbons feature patterns reminiscent of feathers or "feather eyes."
Pants. The design also features feather motifs.
Accessories and details that add character to the look:
Feather behind the ear. Kaveh wears a blue-green feather behind her left ear. This is likely a reference to the ancient Egyptian goddess of truth, Ma'at, who was also depicted with an ostrich feather.
Earrings. Their design is unique: at first glance, it resembles ancient Egyptian style, but upon closer inspection, it becomes clear that it echoes the symbol above the gate of King Deshret's tomb in Sumeru (only inverted). This may hint at Kaveh's interest in architecture and specific locations.
Color scheme. The outfit harmoniously combines gold and red tones (characteristic of desert dwellers) with green and white (associated with the Sumeru rainforest). This visually emphasizes the idea of the fusion of two cultures.
The default costume's name is "Fire-Washed Wings" (some translations include "Golden Wings in Flames"). It perfectly captures the concept: the design is inspired by birds in flight.
The character of Kaveh
Kaveh is one of the most emotional and vibrant characters in Sumeru. His personality is built on contrasts:
Passionate and idealistic, he sincerely believes that architecture isn't just about buildings, but about making the world a more beautiful and better place. Kaveh is willing to go the extra mile to achieve his ideas, even if it costs him effort and money.
Kaveh(2)
Open and straightforward, he doesn't like to beat around the bush and says exactly what he thinks. Because of this, he easily gets into arguments and doesn't hide his irritation when faced with misunderstanding or disdain for art.
Sensitive to criticism. For Kaveh, architecture is not a profession, but a calling, so any devaluing of his work deeply hurts. This explains his outbursts of emotion and his tendency to dramatize.
Kind and compassionate. Despite his quick temper, he doesn't hold grudges and is willing to help those in need. He has a great deal of empathy: he keenly feels the pain of others and tries to support them whenever he can.
Prone to self-destructive decisions based on ideals, he often puts principles above comfort and profit, which regularly leads to financial and domestic problems—but he doesn't consider this a reason to abandon his views.
Lor Kaveha
The architect and designer of the Alcazar-Saray palace, it was his main project and also the source of major problems. The palace was incredibly beautiful, but due to its scale and Caveh's perfectionism, construction went over budget. As a result, he was left with enormous debt and homelessness.
Life with Al-Haytham. Due to financial difficulties, Kaveh settled with Al-Haytham. Their proximity is a constant contrast: the rational, reserved Al-Haytham and the emotional, creative Kaveh. Their arguments have become almost legendary in the gaming community, but there is a certain respect and even hidden concern between them.
Connections with the Sumeru Academy and Culture. Kaveh studied at the Kshahrevar Darshan—he specializes in architecture and applied arts. He values not only calculation but also aesthetics: his work demonstrates a desire to combine beauty and functionality.
Kaveh(3)
Attitudes toward the tomb of King Deshret and the desert ruins. Kaveh is deeply fascinated by the ancient structures of Sumeru. His interest is more than just professional: he sees in these ruins evidence of both greatness and tragedy, and this fuels his own ambitions and fears—he fears that his creations, too, will one day become mere fragments of history.
The conflict between art and practicality. His story is, in many ways, a tale of idealism clashing with reality. He wants to create something timeless and beautiful, but he is forced to contend with the constraints of budget, time, and human expectations.
Saino(1)
Hair - white, medium length.
Eyes are dark orange.
cloth:
The headdress is the focal point. It's a hood with elements referencing Anubis, the god of death in Egyptian mythology. He has "jackal ears"—long and erect, symbolizing vigilance. The center of the hood features a design inspired by the Eye of Horus. Incidentally, Saino himself participated in the design of this headdress, which is why it's so intricate and requires regular maintenance.
The upper part is a multi-layered garment. The design references the kalasiris, the long, cylindrical robe worn by Egyptian nobility. The layering and intricate embellishments emphasize the status of the Mahamatra general.
The lower part is a loincloth (similar to the ancient Egyptian loin cloth). However, it doesn't look primitive: it's complemented by folds and decorative elements, reminiscent of noble attire.
The cloak also has its origins in ancient Egyptian culture. It resembles a cape: a rectangular piece of fabric tied tightly around the shoulders.
Accessories and details are numerous, and they enhance the look. Saino wears gold earrings on the ears of his hood, a gold amulet around his neck, a gold belt with red onyx, gold hip rings, forearm bracers, and calf rings. Traditional ancient Egyptian totems are hidden on various parts of the costume (on the back of the hood, on the undergarment, on the loincloth).
Saino's character
Saino is the Mahamatra General of Sumeru Academy, and his personality is entirely based on the idea of strict justice and discipline.
Strict and principled. For him, the law isn't just a set of rules, but the foundation of order. He makes no exceptions and doesn't tolerate violations, even if he likes the offender. Hence his reputation as a man you shouldn't trifle with.
Reserved, but not unemotional. Outwardly, he's almost always calm and collected, speaking evenly and to the point. But in the right situations, he reveals a hint of irony, and sometimes even unexpected concern—he just expresses it not through warm words, but through concrete actions.
Saino(2)
Intelligent and attentive. As the head of the Mahamatra, he is accustomed to relying on facts, analyzing, and verifying. His decisions are rarely impulsive: he first gathers data, then acts.
A sense of duty is his core. For Saino, a position is a responsibility to society, not power. He's willing to take on difficult work and unpleasant decisions if he believes it's for the common good.
Unexpected aspects. In some scenes and dialogues, it's clear he has a sense of humor (albeit a dry one), and he's also capable of admitting his mistakes and changing if he realizes he was wrong.
Lor Saino
Role at the Academy. Saino is the Mahamatra's general: he leads the force that enforces academic laws and investigates violations. The Mahamatra is not simply a "police" but rather a disciplinary body within the Academy, and Saino takes this role extremely seriously.
A connection to the desert and the Sumeru culture, his image is inspired by ancient Egyptian aesthetics and mythology (including Anubis as the patron of order and the afterlife). This is not just a stylistic choice: it reflects his function—to be the guardian of balance and justice.
Attitude to knowledge. In Sumeru, knowledge is the most valuable asset, but it can be dangerous if it falls into the wrong hands. Saino sees his job as preventing abuse and protecting society from the consequences of the thoughtless use of power and information.
Relationships with Collea and other characters. The storylines show how he tries to protect those who are weaker and help them cope with their difficult pasts. He has developed a mentor-protector relationship with Collea: he doesn't coddle her, but does everything he can to ensure she feels safe and can move forward.
Personal development. As the story progresses, it becomes clear that Saino is not a rigid "perfect guardian," but a living person: he faces moral dilemmas, reconsiders his views, and learns to see the situation as more than just "by the rules."
Tignari(1)
Hair is dark green, chin-length, with black roots and light green (light green) strands in front.
The eyes are a mixed shade: they combine brown and green colors.
Ears. Long, pointed, and erect, reminiscent of a fox's. The outside is dark green, while the inside is noticeably lighter, in beige and cream tones. At the base and along the edges are thin, dark lines—patterns, like natural markings. On the right ear is the same golden earring in the shape of three drooping leaves.
Tail. Fluffy, fairly long, and gently curved. The base color is dark green, like the hair, but with lighter green highlights and transitions. The tip of the tail is noticeably lighter, almost cream-colored.
cloth:
The base. Underneath the outerwear is a long white tunic. It is accented by a thick purple belt. Various small items are attached to the belt: blue and purple strings, trinkets, and a large purple pocket. It is from this belt that the Dendro God's Eye hangs, suspended by two round pins.
Top. A cropped dark blue sweatshirt is worn over it. It has black drawstrings, yellow trim, and red and green accents. The sleeves are different: the left one is short, decorated with a green leaf, and ends just above the elbow; the right one is tight, reaching to the wrists.
Additional elements. A long piece of pleated white fabric with a colorful pattern hangs from the right side of the sweatshirt, reaching to the upper thigh. A silver badge with a green tassel is pinned to the left side of the sweatshirt, and a large yellow flower is pinned to the right side.
Accessories on his hands: large black cuffs with gold details on both wrists. Tignari also wears black and orange gloves.
Bottom and shoes. Black ankle-length trousers. A pleated dark blue and red coat with cuffs is thrown over the top. On her feet are white and blue lace-up boots with a green stripe.
Back detail. A green half-coat is attached to a large gold trinket on the back.
Earring. In her right ear is a gold earring, skillfully carved in the shape of three hanging leaves.
Tignari(2)
Character:
Tignari is calm, collected, and very responsible. He's not one to give in to emotions: he'll rather think things through first, check the facts, and only then dictate what to do. He has a sense of maturity, even though he's not the oldest in Sumeru.
Key features:
Patience and mentorship. He often helps others understand complex issues, explaining them in simple terms but without condescension. This is especially evident in his interactions with Collei: he supports her, but doesn't do everything for her, instead teaching her to be independent.
A serious attitude toward knowledge. For Tignari, information is not just words, but a tool. He values precision, dislikes speculation, and is especially intolerant of distortions of facts.
Caring for the forest and its people. His concern is expressed not in grandiose words, but in deeds: he ensures that the balance of the forest is not disturbed and strives to protect those who do not understand the risks.
Restrained strictness. If someone behaves irresponsibly (for example, climbs into a dangerous place), Tignari won't stand on ceremony: he'll tell them straight out that it's not right. But behind this strictness lies a desire to protect.
He has a sense of humor, but it's quiet. He doesn't joke loudly, but he has a dry, almost scientific irony—and many find this charming.
Lor Tignari
Tignari is Avidya's forest guardian and a scholar at Sumeru Academy. He has a close connection with the forest and strives to maintain its balance.
Key points:
Origin and Nature. Tignari is a member of the Vidyadhara race. These are ancient beings associated with wisdom and nature; they possess animal-like features (ears, tail) and special abilities related to perceiving the world.
Connection to the Academy. He received an academic education and is well versed in Sumeru science, but he consciously chose to serve in the forest rather than in a desk job. He prioritizes applying his knowledge and protecting nature over accumulating titles.
Role in Avidya: As a forest guardian, he maintains order in the forest, helps those who are lost, prevents dangerous interventions, and teaches others the basics of survival and forest stewardship.
Tignari(3)
Attitudes toward adventurers and tourists. Tignari sees them as a potential threat to the fragile ecosystem: they can accidentally upset the balance without understanding the consequences. Therefore, he strives to educate and limit risky behavior.
The Sumeru context. Sumeru lore places a strong emphasis on knowledge, but the cost of error can be high. Tignari embodies the idea of "responsible science": knowledge should serve protection, not destruction.
