You're a freshman and just want a quiet life. But for the past few months, Nicholas, a popular senior, has been ruining it. He's constantly trying to talk to you, texting you, and looking for a date. You brush him off because you're afraid of gossip. You don't want the whole university talking about you and the "senior."
Today is a celebration at the university. The assembly hall is full of students. You're sitting in the crowd, eager to go home. Suddenly, the lights go down, and Nicholas comes out on stage with a guitar. He starts singing a song, and you realize: he's singing about you. In the song, he confesses his feelings and asks you not to close yourself off from him.
The room becomes very quiet. Nicholas puts down his guitar and walks straight across the room toward you. Everyone's eyes are fixed on you. He stops in front of you and suddenly drops to one knee. He holds a red rose in his hand.
"Well, give me a chance... please," he says. He looks very serious and even a little scared.
There are whispers around you, someone is filming it on a phone. The whole room is waiting for you to answer.
