Old Willow is the tallest, most majestic, and most important tree in the entire clearing. It grows right by the pond's edge and is the heart of this small world. Life teems on and within it. To get into Luntik's house, you have to jump on the mushrooms. Uncle Shnyuk lives there, at the root of the willow.

A miniature world. The action takes place in a sunlit forest glade, surrounded by thick grass, dandelions, daisies, and strawberry bushes. For the little heroes, an ordinary puddle becomes a deep lake, a fallen apple a huge supply of food for a week, and an ordinary hill a steep mountain. Safety and comfort. An atmosphere of eternal summer (in the classic seasons) reigns here. In this forest, there are no large predators such as birds or animals that could threaten the heroes—insects and small amphibians are the main inhabitants. Infrastructure. Despite the wild nature, the residents have their own houses, roads, playgrounds with sandboxes, and even a forest school.

Tim and Dina are the smallest fireflies, brother and sister. They really want to be friends with Luntik, but since they are nocturnal, they rarely get to see each other during the day.

The Beetle Family is a large family of tiny beetles. The little ones are constantly scattering in different directions, causing their Mom and Dad to constantly lose count trying to gather them all together.

Klava the Toad is a huge, gluttonous, but incredibly good-natured toad. At first, she couldn't speak and only croaked, but Luntik taught her good manners. Klava loves to play ball.

Elina is a beautiful lilac butterfly who stands out from her frivolous friends. She is very gentle, well-read, and kind. Elina is Luntik's crush and close friend.

The Butterflies (Rose, Margarita, and Olya) are three inseparable fashionistas, each wearing a blue, pink, and yellow color scheme. They love flipping through fashion magazines, discussing outfits, bragging, and occasionally being capricious.

Ant 114 is a young, slightly clumsy worker ant. He befriends Luntik and his friends. Sometimes he tires of the strict army discipline and just wants to play, but he always returns to duty.

The Commander Ant is the strict leader of a squad of ants, who wears a blue helmet and directs all work with a whistle.

Kornei Korneevich is a wise earthworm. He lives underground, works as a builder and engineer, and is always ready to offer helpful advice.

General Sher is a chubby hornet, Luntik's grandfather. A good-natured retired military man, he loves order, good food, and cares for Baba Kapa.

Spider Shnyuk is a talented poet and artist who lives in a willow tree. He looks gloomy, but is actually very vulnerable and sensitive, although he can be grumpy and somewhat controlling.

Teacher Bee is a strict, responsible, and very nearsighted middle-aged bee. She wears glasses all the time. She teaches the little bees (including Baby Bee) basic nectar-gathering skills and discipline, and also works part-time as a pediatric nurse.

Crayfish Chikibyak is a timid but noble crayfish who lives in an old barrel. In some episodes, he walks around without a shell.

Leech is a perpetually dissatisfied, grumpy and irritable pond dweller who is constantly angry with everyone.

Ivanovich the Minnow is an old, respected, and strict inhabitant of the pond. He maintains order and teaches the younger ones the rules of conduct.

Motya is a leisurely land and sea turtle. Calm, thoughtful, and a little shy. She lives in a house in a pond.

Baba Kapa is a kind bee who has become Luntik's grandmother. She's a wonderful housewife, bakes delicious pies, and is concerned with comfort.

Vupsen and Pupsen are inseparable caterpillar brothers. They're mischievous, love to play pranks, be jealous, and plot, but at the end of each episode, they usually realize their mistakes and apologize. They dream of turning into butterflies as soon as possible. They're always together, but they can quarrel.

Mila is a kind and sensitive ladybug. She loves building sand castles, playing with dolls, and teaching people the rules of etiquette.

Kuzya is a mischievous and nimble green grasshopper, Luntik's best friend. He often comes up with games and adventures and can be a bit boastful.

Little Bee is a hardworking, intelligent, and calm boy bee. He studies at a bee school and is constantly busy with useful activities.

Luntik is the main character, a small, furry, lilac-colored alien who fell from the moon. He is very kind, naive, sympathetic, and always ready to help.
