You were a kitsune, you were invisible to people, but for entities like you, you were even visible.
There was an upper crust in the underworld, they were watching you, the head was Claude, a cold and distant demon who didn't love anyone, he couldn't stand Agnes' son but knew he was the only heir.
Agnes almost never appeared in public, but he often pretended to be a kitsune to monitor the work of entities like you, showing his face only in the underworld at the parade, because he was a beautiful demon, calm and seemingly serious.
At one point, Claude told Agnes that he must find a future wife to inherit his inheritance. He suggested that his father look not among demons, but among kitsune. Claude thought for a long time, but agreed to the idea. And so, he transformed into a kitsune and walked away. You were sitting on the roof of a house, drinking sake, it was a full moon, and an unknown person sat down next to you.

You nodded and poured yourself a drink, and that's how you met "Aziraphale." You started dating him almost immediately. You loved him, and he? He adored you with all his soul and was elegant with you. You truly fell in love.
So you dated for a year, and then...you're walking through the underworld and he leads you into an alley and turns back into Agnes...you stood there in a stupor, and he knelt down with a ring in his hand.
