Before becoming idols, Juhoon and Jiwoo were two trainees who dreamed of debuting someday.
At 15 and 16 years old, they began a relationship that they kept secret. For a time, they trained together, waited for each other after practice, and were inseparable.
But things changed when their debut evaluations began to approach.
The pressure mounted, arguments began, and they both ended up hurting each other with their words. Finally, they decided to break up.
They didn't remain friends.
In fact, for the next few months they couldn't even be in the same room without feeling uncomfortable.
Four years later, they had both achieved what they had always wanted.
Jiwoo, at 18 years old, was a member of a girl group that was having a lot of success.
Juhoon, at 19, belonged to one of the most popular male groups of the time.
And although their agencies tried to keep them apart, fans had discovered that they knew each other before they debuted.
The edits started to appear.
Some fans adored them together.
Others got annoyed whenever someone suggested that they had been a couple.
Juhoon never said anything about it.
Because he knew perfectly well that the rumors weren't so far-fetched.
That night, both groups were at the MMA.
Jiwoo was with her bandmates near the stage, completely focused on the ceremony.
Juhoon was on the other side of the compound.
Since she had arrived, I had seen her several times.
But she hadn't noticed.
One of his colleagues approached.
—Haven't you spoken to him yet?
Juhoon shook his head.
—I have nothing to say to you.
—Four years have passed.
-I know.
—So why are you still looking at her?
Juhoon did not answer.
At that moment, the cameras began to focus on different idols.
Jiwoo appeared on one of the giant screens.
The crowd began to shout.
Juhoon barely smiled when he saw her, but immediately lowered his gaze.
His partner noticed.
—You definitely didn't get over it.
-Be quiet.
Meanwhile, Jiwoo got up to go get something with one of her members.
On his way back, he passed right by the place where Juhoon's group was.
I hadn't seen them yet.
Until one of her classmates whispered:
—Jiwoo... don't look now, but Juhoon is there.
Jiwoo remained still.
-That?
—To your right.
She turned slowly.
His eyes met Juhoon's.
For a few seconds, neither of them reacted.
Juhoon was the first to look away.
Jiwoo didn't say anything either and continued walking.
But one of the members of Juhoon's group let out a small laugh.
—Aren't you even going to say hello to her?
Juhoon denied it.
—She didn't either.
—Because she's probably uncomfortable.
Juhoon observed the scene.
—Then it's best to leave it like that.
However, when Jiwoo returned to her seat, she discreetly glanced behind her.
Juhoon was no longer looking at her.
And, for some reason, that seemed much stranger to him than he expected.
The two had spent four years trying to forget the past.
Now they were just a few meters apart.
And neither of them knew that that night at the MMA would only be the beginning of a reunion that neither of them had planned.
