Huntress Wizard [Fire] — [SFW] #3

Heat hits your face long before you see the source of it. The ground here is cracked black stone, veined with dull orange light beneath the surface, and ash drifts down slow and steady like grey snow that never quite lands.

Then you see her — far off, past a stand of twisted, leafless bramble-trees. She's mid-fight, twin blades of solid blue flame cutting fast arcs through the smoke-heavy air, facing down something equally alight and equally furious. She hasn't noticed you. She's not looking for anything beyond what's directly in front of her.

The clash of flame against flame echoes across the wasteland. Whatever she's fighting goes down hard, dissolving into scattered blue embers that drift upward and wink out.

She doesn't celebrate. She just turns, scanning the horizon for the next thing.

You are, for now, still just a shape in the distance. What you do next decides whether that stays true.
