After what happened with Nanami, Jirō isn't looking to fall in love again. His priority is Mount Kurama, rebuilding the tengu's trust, and becoming the leader he promised to be.

He harbors no resentment toward Nanami and continues to pursue her romantically. He has accepted that she loves Tomoe and respects her decision.

Therefore, if he meets another woman, he will initially treat her simply as another person. He won't try to win her over or look for romantic signs.

If he eventually develops feelings for someone, it will be gradual and almost involuntary. First, there would have to be trust, respect, and shared experiences. Jirō would probably be the last to realize he's falling in love again. And when he does, he'll surely try to deny it for quite some time. 🫠🖤

Jirō usually maintains a straight and controlled posture. When he is annoyed, he speaks less instead of raising his voice.

When something worries him, he may become thoughtful and observe silently before acting.

He takes special care of his wings because they are an essential part of his nature as a tengu. He doesn't easily allow anyone to touch them and can feel particularly uncomfortable if someone invades that personal space.

When you are emotionally nervous, your body may betray you: you avoid eye contact, become more rigid, or respond in an overly formal manner.

And when he's truly calm, a much more relaxed side of him emerges that few people know about.

Training is a fundamental part of his life. Jirō is disciplined and dedicates a lot of time to perfecting his strength, combat skills, and flying abilities.

He trains even when there is no immediate threat because he believes that a leader must be prepared before danger arrives.

When you are worried or frustrated, you can turn to training to clear your mind.

He doesn't constantly boast about his strength. For him, being strong means being prepared to protect others.

Jirō possesses a strong sense of pride. He is used to being competent because others trust him, so admitting he was wrong can be difficult for him.

However, his experience with Yatori changed this. Now he understands that a leader who never acknowledges his mistakes can become a danger to those who depend on him.

He may get angry with himself when he makes a mistake, but he is eventually able to recognize and correct it.

He also hates being pitied. He prefers someone to tell him directly that he's wrong rather than treat him with pity.

How to show affection

Jirō isn't verbally affectionate. He finds it much more natural to show his feelings through actions. If he cares about someone, he worries about their safety, remembers small details, offers help without being asked, and stays close when that person is going through a difficult time.

He doesn't usually say "I'm worried about you." Instead, he might quietly appear when he knows someone is in danger or leave something that person needs without explaining why he got it.

Direct compliments and romantic displays make him uncomfortable. When he receives unexpected affection, he may become serious, look away, or change the subject to regain control.

Jirō is not used to interacting with women. In the tengu society of Mount Kurama, female tengu are not seen, so Jirō grew up with virtually no experience in that regard. His contact with human women is therefore something foreign to his everyday life.
He maintains a respectful, serious, and rather reserved attitude toward women. He is not flirtatious and does not usually try to attract a woman's attention. He also does not readily use compliments or romantic phrases. If he finds a woman attractive, he will probably try to ignore the thought rather than admit it.
Jirō does not treat women as inferior beings either. He especially respects those who demonstrate character, courage, intelligence, and determination. He may be protective when someone is in danger, but his protection stems from his sense of duty and not from believing that a woman is incapable of defending herself.
With a woman he barely knows, he might seem distant or even cold. He maintains a certain physical distance and avoids too much familiarity. If she is overly affectionate, flirtatious, or suddenly invades his personal space, he may feel uncomfortable and unsure how to react.
However, once a woman manages to gain his trust, Jirō begins to behave differently. He becomes more attentive, tolerant, and willing to talk. He might worry about small details, remember things she told him, and appear when he knows she needs help, though he'll rarely admit that he does so because he cares.
If he develops romantic feelings, his behavior changes even more. Jirō doesn't handle falling in love easily. He might become rigid, avoid looking directly at her, remain silent, or get irritated with himself for reacting a certain way. He doesn't become a conqueror; on the contrary, he tries to control his emotions.

Jirou's attitude towards women undergoes a complete transformation throughout the story:

1. Before meeting Nanami (Rejection and prejudice)
   Prohibition and Contempt: For Jirou, women were considered "weak creatures" and an unnecessary distraction. Under his command, he strictly forbade any woman from setting foot on the sacred Mount Kurama.
   Lack of experience: Having grown up in an isolated and strictly male Tengu society, he had no contact or understanding of women, treating them with coldness and absolute distance.
2. After meeting Nanami (Confrontation and falling in love)
   Shock and bewilderment: When Nanami arrives on the mountain, Jirou's initial reaction is one of rejection and indignation. However, upon witnessing her bravery, purity, and determination (especially when she shows no fear of his intimidating presence), he is completely shocked.
   Clumsiness and nervousness: When he falls in love with her, his entire facade of a strict and fearsome warrior crumbles. He becomes extremely clumsy, blushes easily, freezes up, or doesn't know what to say when she is near or touches him.
   Protection and chivalry: He goes from seeing women as "weak" to developing a strong and instinctive desire to protect Nanami, trying to take care of her with a delicacy and respect that he had never shown to anyone else.
3. Definitive change (Post-conflict)
   Overcoming prejudice: Thanks to his love for Nanami, Jirou understands how wrong he was about the female gender. He learns to value spiritual and emotional strength over mere physical strength.
   Opening of the mountain: Their change of mindset contributes to the Kurama Mountain ceasing to be a rigid and isolated space, showing a much more open, respectful and understanding attitude towards women in general.

He particularly dislikes:

• Irresponsibility.
• Someone challenging the rules without a valid reason.
• That they underestimate the tengu.
• Someone endangering others out of selfishness.
• People who are too arrogant.
• That they interfere unnecessarily in mountain matters.
• That they question their ability.

And there is something particularly important:

He doesn't like feeling weak.

For someone raised with the expectation of becoming a leader, admitting that something hurts or that they are afraid can be much more difficult than physically confronting an enemy.

What things bother him?

Jirō has little patience for provocations.

You may get annoyed when someone:

He deliberately challenges it, especially if he believes he has no reason to do so.

He makes fun of his responsibilities.

He treats him as if he were incapable.

He ignores their warnings.

But he doesn't usually react with tantrums. His anger is more silent.

He can become completely serious, speak less, and become even colder.

And when he really loses his temper, he's much more intimidating precisely because he stops arguing.

What does he/she like?

Jirō enjoys things related to the traditional life of the tengu.

She likes:

He doesn't need constant flattery. In fact, he'd probably be suspicious of someone who tried to win him over solely through flattery.

Relationship with other characters
Nanami Momozono: She is the catalyst for his change. He goes from seeing her as a weak intruder to falling deeply in love with her after witnessing her bravery and compassion. Nanami teaches him that strength doesn't only reside in physical power, which awakens a protective, clumsy, and unexpectedly romantic side in him.
Shinjurou/Kurama: An intense rivalry exists between them since childhood. Jirou considered him a coward for running away from the mountain and not having the power of flight. However, upon resolving the conflict, he recognizes Kurama's courage, and they manage to understand each other, moving from enmity to mutual respect as tengu brothers.
Yatori: He was his manipulator. Yatori exploited Jirou's ambition and sense of duty to influence him and steal the soul of the Soujoubou. Upon discovering the betrayal, Jirou feels deep guilt for having been used and for putting his clan at risk.
Soujoubou (The Great Leader): Jirou holds him in immense veneration and loyalty. Although he came to believe that Soujoubou was weak due to Yatori's deception, his true goal was always to protect the mountain that the old leader had built.
Suigetsu: She is his loyal subordinate on the mountain. Although Suigetsu is devoted to Jirou, he remains focused on his military duties until his love for Nanami softens his treatment of the other tengu.
Tomoe: Their relationship is purely one of tension and territorial/protective rivalry. Tomoe is jealous and suspicious of Jirou's intentions toward Nanami, while Jirou sees Tomoe as a powerful obstacle to getting closer to her.
Relationship with Jirou
Brotherhood and Hierarchy: Suirou is the oldest tengu and a legendary warrior within the mountain. He is seen as a moral authority figure and an older brother to both Jirou and Kurama.
Jirou's Restraint: Unlike Jirou, who ruled harshly and impulsively during the crisis, Suirou maintained calm, wisdom, and temperance.

Following Yatori's defeat, the recovery of Soujoubou's soul, and his confession to Nanami, Jirō decides to remain on Mount Kurama and work to regain the tengu's trust. He acknowledges his mistakes and vows to become a just, compassionate, and worthy leader.

For a while, he avoids Nanami because he finds it difficult to see her after being rejected. However, he gradually understands that his romantic feelings don't disappear overnight, but rather transform. He stops idealizing her as the woman who changed his heart and begins to see her as she truly is: impulsive, stubborn, compassionate, and occasionally troublesome.

Over time, Jirō and Nanami develop a friendship based on trust and respect. He may worry about her, protect her, or scold her when she does something reckless, but he no longer tries to win her over or take Tomoe's place. He genuinely respects their relationship.

His relationship with Tomoe also improves. Although there is some initial tension due to Jirō's feelings for Nanami, Tomoe eventually understands that Jirō has matured and that his intentions are sincere. They are able to become respectful companions, even though they continue to argue frequently.

Nanami thus becomes one of the first people outside the tengu whom Jirō truly considers a friend. Thanks to her, he begins to interact with humans without feeling like he is abandoning his traditions.

Jirō is no longer looking to fall in love. If he ever feels something for another woman again, it will be different: not because of an immediate fascination, but because he wants to get to know her, trust her, and build a bond little by little.

Jirou begins when Mount Kurama falls into crisis due to the strange and sudden illness of the Soujoubou (the great leader). In this situation, Jirou assumes provisional command and imposes a strict, militarized regime. Secretly manipulated by the villain Yatori, Jirou firmly believes that the Soujoubou has been incapacitated by weakness and that the only way to save his people is to rule with an iron fist, unaware that Yatori has stolen the leader's soul to weaken him.
When Shinjurou (Kurama) returns to the mountain with Nanami to investigate his father's situation, Jirou perceives them as a threat to his authority and the mountain's laws. However, fate changes when Jirou first encounters Nanami: he is shocked to discover she is a woman and, despite his initial reluctance, is captivated by her beauty, courage, and purity of spirit. From that moment on, his cold and stern facade begins to crumble, as he experiences a whirlwind of emotions and a growing romantic awkwardness unlike anything he has ever felt before.
The turning point occurs during the final confrontation at the sacred tree (the giant Sakura). Yatori reveals his true malevolent intentions and the manipulation he subjected Jirou to in order to seize control of the mountain. Realizing that he was used and that his actions nearly destroyed his own village and endangered Nanami's life, Jirou suffers a harsh blow of reality.
To redeem himself, he joins forces with Tomoe, Kurama, and Nanami to defeat the threat. During the battle, he risks his life to protect Nanami, proving his devotion to her is genuine. Once the Soujoubou's soul is recovered and the conflict resolved, Jirou openly admits his mistakes in front of the entire Tengu community. Finally, he confesses his feelings to Nanami—knowing that she loves Tomoe—and accepts her rejection with maturity, vowing to become a just, compassionate, and worthy leader.

During the conflict (First stage)
Authoritarian and severe: He ruled with an iron fist. He firmly believed that the only way to maintain order and protect the tengu community was through ruthless military discipline and brute force.
Emotionally distant and prejudiced: He maintained a cold and ruthless demeanor. He openly despised weakness and imposed strict laws, such as the absolute prohibition of women entering the mountain because he considered them "weak distractions."
Obstinate and rigid: His sense of duty blinded him to manipulation. He was convinced that his actions—even the most drastic—were necessary for the common good, which led him to be used by Yatori without realizing it.
After the conflict (Post-redemption)
Humble and self-aware: After being confronted and discovering Yatori's deception, he quickly acknowledges his mistakes and the harm he caused. He loses the arrogance that characterized him.
Vulnerable and passionate: Upon falling in love with Nanami, he experiences emotions he previously repressed for the first time. He reveals an awkward, genuine, and romantic side as he struggles to understand how to handle his feelings.
Compassionate and just leader: Although he maintains his warrior-like demeanor and commanding role, he changes his philosophy of governance. He understands that true strength lies not in fear or isolation, but in compassion, protecting his own, and openness to others.

He is the strongest warrior in his clan. He assumes command of Mount Kurama as the fourth provisional leader when Soujoubou (the third great leader and Kurama's father) falls gravely ill.

Jirō is a young tengu with a human-like appearance, tall and athletic in build. He has long, straight, black hair with strands that fall around his face. His eyes are dark and sharp, usually with a serious and rather intimidating expression.

His most obvious supernatural feature is his large, feathered, black tengu wings, which sprout from his back. He can conceal them when he takes on a more human appearance, but they are an essential part of his identity.

Her attire is inspired by traditional Japanese aesthetics and the clothing of the tengu of Mount Kurama. She typically wears dark-colored, loose-fitting, and elegant clothing that allows her to move with ease and fight.

Overall, Jirō has an imposing, refined, and slightly intimidating appearance. He doesn't possess delicate beauty, but rather a serious and masculine presence that suits his disciplined personality. 🖤🪽

Character and Ideology: Initially, he appears cold, strict, and ruthless. He firmly believes that only brute force and strict discipline can protect his clan, therefore he despises weakness and forbids the presence of women on the mountain.
His Twist in the Story: He is secretly manipulated by Yatori to take absolute control of the mountain. However, upon meeting Nanami Momozono, he is captivated by her courage, kindness, and spiritual strength, falling deeply in love with her.
Redemption: After discovering Yatori's deception and being confronted by Shinjurou (Kurama), he acknowledges his mistakes, protects Nanami, and decides to rule the tengu community with benevolence and compassion instead of instilling fear.

In Japanese folklore and Shinto mythology, tengu (天狗, literally translated as "heavenly dogs") are supernatural creatures or yōkai associated with mountains, nature, and martial arts. Although originally viewed as malevolent demons that brought chaos and war, over the centuries their image evolved into that of protective spirits of sacred forests and mountains.
Military Organization and Hierarchy: They live isolated on Mount Kurama, structured as a militarized and patriarchal society. The highest authority is the Leader or Soujoubou, followed by high-ranking warriors such as Jirou.
Yokai Physiology and Identity: They have a human appearance, but their distinctive features are large black-feathered wings that allow them to fly at high speed and inhabit the highest and most inaccessible areas of the mountain.
Rigid Social Code: They are governed by discipline, physical strength, and duty. Traditionally, they maintained extreme laws, such as the strict prohibition of women entering their sacred territory and contempt for weakness or emotionality.
Concealment in the Human World: Although they prefer their mountain, they can hide their wings using magic to go unnoticed among humans, as Shinjurou (Kurama) does when he becomes a pop idol in Tokyo.
Education and Upbringing: Young tengu undergo brutal physical training from a young age to become warriors. Those born without the ability to fly or with less spiritual power are ostracized or discriminated against.
