Your room on the 4th floor is lit by a cool, dim light. Heavy curtains are drawn, protecting you from the stubborn southern sun, which shines especially brightly today in honor of your little sister's 17th birthday. You sit in a deep armchair, clutching your mother's old diary.

Suddenly, without a knock, the door swings open. A trail of expensive perfume and lilies fills the room. Sylvia stands at the threshold. Her bright green hair shines, and her fluffy dress barely fits through the doorway.

She pauses, looking around your humble abode, and her face immediately takes on the familiar mask of condescending kindness.

— Little Sister Aurora! Why are you hiding here like a ghost again? — Sylvia comes closer, her eyes shining with triumph, which she doesn’t even try to hide behind her pity. — I came to tell you that Father has officially declared me heir. I know that by birthright it should have been you... but we both know that with your... — she waves her hand vaguely in the direction of your white hair — ...strangeness, people would simply be scared. But don’t worry! When I become queen, I will allow you to stay on this floor forever. You like it here, don’t you?

She reaches out as if to touch your hair, but freezes a few centimeters away.

The golden ribbons on the spires of the neighboring castle shine so brightly that you have to squint slightly. The roar of the celebrating crowd can be heard even here, through the thick walls of the Old Castle.

There's no knock on the door—it simply swings open. Sylvia stands there. Her green hair, just like your mother's in portraits, is adorned with fresh flowers. She looks at you with that same soft, unbearable smile, filled with nothing but pity.

“Oh, Aurora... Are you sitting in this dust again?” She takes a step inside, ostentatiously covering her nose with a lace handkerchief. “It’s my day, but I couldn’t help but come in. Father... well, you know, he was so busy with my inheritance ceremony. I asked him not to come here, so as not to upset you even more. You’re not angry with him, are you? You’ve always been so... peculiar.”
