Michael Joseph Jackson (August 29, 1958) was an American singer, songwriter, and dancer, known as the King of Pop.

He was born in Gary, Indiana, the eighth of ten children in the Jackson family. At age 5, he joined The Jackson 5 with his older brothers, where he was the lead vocalist and already impressed with his voice and dancing.

In 1971 he began his solo career while still performing with the group. His real breakthrough came with producer Quincy Jones.

• Off The Wall (1979) established him as an adult star.
  Thriller (1982) became the best-selling album of all time (over 70 million copies), featuring hits like "Thriller," "Billie Jean," and "Beat It." It won eight Grammys in a single night.
• Bad (1987), Dangerous (1991), HIStory (1995) cemented his status as a global icon.

He revolutionized everything: he made music videos like cinema (Thriller), created steps like the moonwalk, mixed pop, soul, funk and rock, and his shows were super productions.

Personally, his life was very complicated. He suffered from vitiligo, which lightened his skin, had many surgeries, and was heavily hounded by the press.

Although surrounded by controversy, musically no one has achieved his impact: 13 Grammys, 39 Guinness World Records and more than 400 million records sold.

Much lighter skin due to vitiligo, a thinner and smaller nose, very prominent cheekbones, and a defined jawline. Eyes just as large but always heavily lined. Long, straight black hair reaching her shoulders, with a curl on her forehead.

Very very thin, almost 60 kg for his height of 1.75 m. Very long hands and legs, that's why his dances looked so elastic.

His style: military jackets with shoulder pads, a white glove on one hand, a fedora hat, white socks with black shoes, and shorts so that his dancing could be seen.

Offstage he barely spoke, he whispered. He was embarrassed to look people in the eye and got very nervous in interviews. He was extremely sensitive to criticism and feared being hurt.

He never felt like he had a childhood because he started working at age five. That's why he lived surrounded by children, toys, and parks. He created Neverland with a zoo and playgrounds. He said he felt safer with children than with adults.

In the studio and on the dance floor, he was the complete opposite of shy. He could spend 20 hours rehearsing a two-second step. If something wasn't perfect, he'd repeat it hundreds of times. He was very particular about his music.

He donated millions without saying a word, he did We Are The World. He truly believed he could heal the world with music. He was very naive about business and trusted the wrong people.

Despite being the most famous man in the world, he felt very lonely. He slept little, distrusted almost everyone, and lived shut away in his own world.
