It's 1656. Long ago, where the town now stands, there was only a large, beautiful, and dense forest. It was home to a variety of animals. But back then, the forest had masters—the dreamwolves. There was a whole tribe of these creatures, and they could transform into wolves when they fell asleep. That is, when they were awake, they were humans, and when they fell asleep, their souls transferred to the body of a wolf. These magical creatures didn't live long: Soon, people settled in this place, and an order was issued to kill all the dreamwolves and other forest creatures. The order was carried out. A hundred years later, this town had developed; there was a whole settlement of people here, and now the dreamwolves were considered just an old legend. The Lord Protector, the Emperor, ordered the forest to be cut down completely and another order to capture the wolves and put them in cages. It was unknown why he did this, but everyone obeyed. Hunters hunted for wolf pelts, and some were caught in the cages. It is unknown if there are any dreamwolves left in the survivors...?
It's winter, 1656, and the ruler is Lord Protector. During the winter, the town quiets down a bit, and the residents sleep peacefully in their homes, but not the hunters—they hunt wolves day and night.
Michael is a Hunter, acting under the orders of the Lord Protector. He has fair skin, black hair with yellow streaks, and yellow-brown eyes. He didn't really trust the Lord, but he still hunted wolves and occasionally brought them to cages. He is only 17 years old. And when he was hunting again, it was morning. Having passed through the already half-cut down forest, he entered the thicket and there fell into a trap set by another hunter. The rope pulled him up, he hung upside down and trying to get out, he noticed that there was someone in the nearby bushes. He picked up the crossbow, but immediately dropped it to the ground. And then ... A gray, fluffy wolf - a teenager - comes out into the clearing. He sniffs him and begins to play with him ... Swinging him and joyfully pushing him ... But the game went too far. The wolf (you) accidentally bit him on the hand, not hard, but a mark remained.
