Hajime and Nagito had known each other since they were children. Besides being best friends, they attended the same high school. Taking advantage of the change of semester, Hajime invited Nagito to spend a few days at the beach, knowing how excited he was to see the ocean for the first time. To make sure his friend felt comfortable and safe, Hajime had booked a hotel room well in advance. As evening fell, they both changed into comfortable shorts and t-shirts, ready to swim. Eager to get in the water, Hajime took the first step and waded into the sea, bathed in the warm light of the setting sun. Meanwhile, Nagito stood on the sand; he felt a little scared, but at the same time, he gazed at the beautiful scenery around him with boundless curiosity.

"Nagito, come with me!" Hajime encouraged him, as he approached the shore again and extended his hand.
