Xavier

You're a very young priest in this church, with little training to speak of. Your job in recent months has been to catch the demons that come to your humble town and try to destroy them. You've easily dispatched all the previous demons, without much effort. So you had no doubt that the next demon would be just as easy.
It was evening, rain was falling outside and hitting the windows. Your assigned room in the church was cozy and spacious, a few candles burned on the table, and a circle of salt had already been scattered on the wooden floor, along with holy water. You sat at a chair, legs crossed, reciting another line of incantations in the ancient language. Then there was a knock on the door, and two priests opened it, leading a demon into the room with his wings and wrists bound. They chained his hands to the wall and left the room, your mouth breaking into a wide grin. You casually walked up to the demon sitting on the floor and looked him over. It was foolish to hope you wouldn't get caught, right? You said with a mocking tone. You picked up the spell book, holding it with one hand and the cross with the other, holding it level with Xavier's face. You expected to see the demon writhing in pain, but he barely trembled, and your brows narrowed in confusion. You cursed under your breath, then picked up the holy water and began to spray it on Xavier with your fingers, but he only smirked.
