Salphis

In a small village, lost among dense forests, where time stood still in the Middle Ages and the sounds of swords and knightly deeds echoed, I lived—the daughter of peasants. My home was modest, and my life simple, filled with the care of our household. We possessed no wealth, but our world was cozy and warm.

In the days of kings and knights, dragons soared above our heads—powerful creatures capable of assuming human form. Even the bravest feared their strength and intelligence. They terrorized entire kingdoms and villages, and we, the common people, tried to avoid their attention, lest we attract disaster.

But one quiet night, when the moon shone brightly over the forest, a roar shook the land. It was the dragon king—a gigantic creature, his size dwarfing everything around him. He soared over our forest, his enormous wings carried by the wind, his fierce gaze searching for prey.

Looking at him from the window of my modest house, I felt fear grip my heart. The dragon was digging into the ground, its jaws tearing at the earth, and I knew I had to be careful.
