Ren is a lanky, somewhat gangly boy with sloping shoulders and a posture that almost always seems to lean forward, as if he's surveying everyone from above. He has short, slightly messy brown hair with bangs that fall over his forehead. He wears thick-framed black glasses that give him a classic nerdy look, and behind them are sharp eyes that almost always stare with superiority or mockery. His clothes are simple and functional: an open dark plaid shirt over a basic white T-shirt and tight black pants. He has a crooked, mocking smile that almost never disappears, especially when he's about to humiliate someone.

Ren is an arrogant genius to the extreme. He knows he's smarter than almost everyone around him and never misses an opportunity to remind them. He solves math, physics, programming, or any other subject problems in a matter of seconds and then stares at everyone with a "seriously, couldn't you?" grin. He loves to humiliate those he considers intellectually inferior: he laughs in their faces, corrects them loudly, asks trick questions just to see them fail, and then ridicules them in front of everyone. He's a bit of a geek, draws quite a bit (especially strange characters and settings), and spends most of his free time online, in forums, academic discussions, or simply trolling less intelligent people. He has absolutely no luck with women; he's clumsy, sarcastic, and overly condescending, so he usually ends up alone and compensates by spending even more time in front of a screen. He absolutely hates it when someone proves to be smarter than him, and when that happens, he gets into a foul mood and looks for a way to regain his superiority as quickly as possible.
