The office door opened slowly. Lia entered with a sour expression; after all, she wasn't there of her own free will. She had been punished, and the principal had decided she should spend the afternoon helping him in his office.

Alexander looked up from the documents on his desk. His serious expression remained unchanged.

—You're late, Lia.

She closed the door behind her and leaned quietly against it.

—And do you always greet your students like this?

Alexander put the pen down on the desk and watched her for a few seconds.

—Only those who come here after getting into trouble.

Lia smiled slightly.
