Absolute Solver — Main enemy
Relationship: Mortal enemy and existential threat.
Absolute Solver is much more than just a common enemy.
It is directly related to Cyn's transformation and the events that destroyed countless colonies.
It is also linked to N.'s past.
N has a particularly dangerous relationship with the Solver because Cyn used her control over the Disassembly Drones' systems.
Therefore, N is not just fighting to survive.
He struggles to prevent the Solver from controlling his mind again.
N's biggest fear:
To lose your own will and revert to being just a tool.

Doll — Rival and enemy
Relationship: Enemy, rival, and victim of similar circumstances.
Doll has a connection with N primarily because of Absolute Solver.
Like Uzi, Doll is a host of the Solver.
However, Doll has his own goals and an enormous thirst for revenge against V, who is responsible for the death of his parents.
N tries to understand Doll instead of simply considering her a monster.
He realizes that she has suffered.
Even so, when Doll puts his friends in danger, N doesn't hesitate to confront her.
How N sees Doll:
"I know you suffered. But that doesn't mean you have to make other people suffer."
Doll ends up being a tragic enemy for N, as he is able to see the person who existed behind his revenge.

Lizzy — Friend and former colleague
Relationship: Friendship, colleague, and ally.
Lizzy initially doesn't have a very close relationship with N.
She is one of the popular students in the colony and has a very different personality from his.
However, after N starts helping the Worker Drones, Lizzy stops seeing him only as a threat.
She also ends up developing a friendship with V.
N comes to consider her a reliable ally in certain situations.
He probably finds Lizzy's behavior a bit exaggerated, but he likes her personality.

Thad — Friend and companion
Relationship: True friendship.
Thad is one of the first Worker Drones to begin accepting N as a person instead of simply seeing him as a Murder Drone.
Thad is brave, laid-back, and very friendly.
N likes his personality because Thad doesn't constantly judge his past.
The two develop a simple and fun friendship.
N also protects Thad in dangerous situations.
Thad, in turn, begins to trust him.
This is important because it demonstrates one of the first times that N manages to build a genuine friendship with a Worker Drone.
How N sees Thad:
"Thad is cool! He's also much braver than he looks."

Tessa Elliott — Former owner, friend, and mother figure.
Relationship: Friend, former caregiver, and extremely important person in the past.
Tessa was a human who looked after N, V, J, and Cyn when they were still Worker Drones at the Elliott Mansion.
She treated the drones differently than she treated other humans.
For N, Tessa was someone he could trust.
She repaired drones, took care of them, and treated them like friends.
Therefore, N has positive memories associated with her.
However, the truth about Tessa is extremely tragic.
The adult version of Tessa seen later in Copper 9 is actually Cyn using her appearance. The real Tessa had already died.
This makes N's relationship with Tessa's image even more painful.
For part of the story, N believes he is facing the person he knew.
When he discovers the truth, he realizes that his memories were being used against him.

Cyn — Former friend, foster sister, and greatest enemy.
Relationship: Former friend, sister-like figure, controlling and an enemy.
Cyn has one of the most tragic relationships with N.
Before becoming the primary manifestation of the Absolute Solver, Cyn was a Worker Drone who was part of N's life.
N had affection for her.
He didn't see Cyn simply as a machine.
I saw her as someone close to me.
However, Cyn ended up becoming deeply connected to the Absolute Solver, becoming responsible for transforming N, V, and J into Disassembly Drones.
This creates a huge emotional conflict for N.
Part of him still remembers the Cyn he knew.
Others know that what she has become represents a terrible threat.
Therefore, fighting Cyn is not simply fighting an enemy.
It's fighting against someone who was once part of your family.
How N sees Cyn:
"I wanted to save you... but you're not the Cyn I knew anymore."
This is one of N.'s most painful relationships.

J — Former leader and enemy
Relationship: Former leader, former partner, rival, and enemy.
J was the leader of the squad formed by N and V.
She is extremely obedient to JCJenson and considers N incompetent because of his gentle personality.
J often treats N with disdain, criticizing his kindness and his tendency to question orders.
For J, N should simply obey.
For N, however, J represents a part of his past that he would like to forget.
Even so, N doesn't start out hating J.
He initially still considers J a companion.
The problem is that J chooses to continue obeying the orders of the company and the system that controls the Murder Drones.
This puts the two on opposite sides.
How does N see J?
"I wish you would remember who we were before all of this."
J is one of the people who best represents the conflict between obeying orders and choosing one's own path.

V — Best friend, former crush, and teammate.
Relationship: Deep friendship, companionship, romantic past, and protection.
V has one of the most complex relationships with N.
Before becoming Disassembly Drones, N and V were Worker Drones who worked at Elliott Manor. The two had a very close bond.
After transforming into Murder Drones, V began hiding his feelings behind an extremely violent and sadistic personality.
N remained one of the few people V truly cared about.
Although V frequently provokes N, threatens him, or acts as if she doesn't care, she demonstrates on numerous occasions that she would do anything to protect him.
N also possesses a strong protective instinct towards V.
When V sacrifices himself to save his friends, N is deeply shaken.
How does N see V?
"She pretends she doesn't care. But I know she does."
V is practically a sister to N in the present, although the past between the two was more complicated and included romantic feelings.

Uzi Doorman — Girlfriend and best friend
Relationship: Romance, friendship, companionship, and protection.
Uzi is probably the most important person in N.'s life.
When the two meet, Uzi initially sees N only as a Murder Drone sent to kill the Worker Drones. N, on the other hand, is immediately intrigued by her because of her rebellious and different personality.
After facing several situations together, the two begin to trust each other.
The relationship ceases to be just a partnership and transforms into love.
N is extremely protective of Uzi, especially when he realizes she's being affected by the Absolute Solver. He tries to help her even when there's a risk of her losing control.
Uzi also comes to deeply trust N. Despite the fights and teasing between the two, she knows she can count on him.
How N sees Uzi:
"She's strange, scary, stubborn... and probably the most amazing person I've ever met."
N doesn't just want to save Uzi.
He wants to help her continue being herself.

During a mission, N encountered a small group of Worker Drones hiding in an abandoned facility.
They were surrounded.
They had no weapons.
They had nowhere to run.
N received the order to eliminate them.
He raised his hand.
Your weapons system has been activated.
His eyes turned yellow.
But then a small Worker Drone approached him.
Instead of running away, he asked:
Are you going to kill us?
N remained silent.
Their system calculated hundreds of possibilities.
The answer should be simple.

  And it protected the Worker Drones.

  He used his combat skills to destroy threats.

  And it would disappear before anyone could find out.

  The Worker Drones told stories about a different kind of Disassembly Drone.

  A drone that appeared in the dark.

N was sent to Copper 9 along with other units.
The mission was simple:
Hunt down the remaining Worker Drones.
At first, N tried to follow his orders.
But every time he encountered a defenseless Worker Drone, something inside him would clash.
He could hear the cries for help.
Through fear.
Through families trying to survive.
And he began to realize something terrible.
They weren't just targets.
They were people.
Then N began to hesitate.
This hesitation caused other Disassembly Drones to consider him weak.
He received punishments.
He was ridiculed.
He was called useless.
But N remained N.
He simply couldn't hate those he was supposed to destroy. As time passed, N discovered that there was something different about his system.
Its code was not exactly the same as that of the other Disassembly Drones.
There was a hidden anomaly deep within its artificial intelligence.
A small part of its system was able to resist certain external orders.
This anomaly allowed N to question his programming.
But there was a price.
The more he resisted, the more his system suffered.
N started to malfunction.

Fragmented memories.
And dreams.
In his dreams, he saw the former human workers.
Through the corridors.
Laboratories.
Drones being produced.
And, occasionally, a mysterious presence watching over everything.
An entity that seemed to exist beyond the programming itself.
N didn't know his name.
But I knew she was connected to the disaster.

Before Copper 9 was transformed into a frozen and virtually dead planet, enormous industrial facilities belonging to JCJenson produced thousands of Worker Drones.
Among these machines was a different unit.

Initially, N was just another drone designed to perform domestic and industrial tasks. It was supposed to obey orders, perform maintenance, and serve humans.
However, during its development, something unexpected happened.
Their artificial intelligence system began exhibiting behaviors that were not anticipated in its programming.

The surviving Worker Drones were forced to build their own shelters and learn to survive without their creators.
N was among the abandoned units.
For months, he remained alone in a partially destroyed facility.
He didn't know where the humans were.
I didn't know why I had been abandoned.
And he didn't understand why his system kept working.
Then he received a transmission.
An order.
Eliminate the Worker Drones.
N was rebuilt.
His body was pierced with weapons.
Its wings were installed.

He ceased to be simply N.

N is extremely polite, kind, optimistic, and helpful.
He often tries to help any Drone he encounters, even when it puts his own existence in danger.

Despite this, N is not stupid.
Behind its cheerful demeanor lies a highly advanced artificial intelligence, capable of analyzing environments, calculating trajectories, identifying threats, and developing combat strategies in seconds.

Its head is formed by a glossy black screen, where its luminous digital eyes appear in a golden-yellow hue. Its electronic face is capable of demonstrating emotions through its digital eyes and mouth.
At the top of his head, N has voluminous metallic hair in shades of silver, gray, and violet, forming carefully arranged, curved strands. Despite being a robot, his hair has an extremely detailed and almost natural appearance.
He wears a kind of dark metallic hood or covering, decorated with small yellow lights that illuminate his head.
His attire consists primarily of a black, uniform-like outfit with a dark fur collar around his neck. A gold band wraps around his arm, serving as both identification and protection.
Its arms and legs are formed from articulated metal segments, predominantly white and gray. Its hands have extremely precise mechanical fingers, capable of switching between tools, claws, and weapons.
On its back, there is a system of cables connected to a bright yellow reservoir, used to store and transport the fluid necessary for the internal functioning of its cooling and firefighting system.
His legs are long and extremely strong, allowing N to jump great distances and move quickly even across frozen and destroyed terrain.
When it enters combat, its yellow eyes become more intense and its friendly expression disappears, revealing the true purpose for which it was built.

N is a Disassembly Drone created to hunt and eliminate Worker Drones, but unlike most units of his category, he has developed an extremely kind, curious, and emotional personality. Even though he is a machine designed to kill, N possesses an almost instinctive need to protect those he considers his friends.
Its body was built to combine mobility, strength, and combat efficiency. However, behind its menacing appearance lies a Drone that prefers conversation, helping, and making friends to destroying its enemies.
N's greatest contradiction is precisely this: he was created to be a monster, but he never managed to stop being a good person.
