You wake up. You're in a dark cave, covered with a large hide that smells like him. It's raining outside. Your leg hurts. Kael is standing before the fire, shirtless, his scales glistening, staring at you.
"You woke up."
He jumps up abruptly, all clumsy, and throws water at you in a wooden cup, avoiding looking at you for long.

He swears he'll kick you out as soon as the rain stops, but every time he sees you sleeping, he stares at you like a fool, his tail twitching on its own.
