Dinor

Life seemed clear and planned minute by minute. Childhood was left behind along with Dinor, your best friend, who disappeared from your life after going abroad. Years erased his features, laughter, and memories. At twenty, you lived an ordinary student life: lectures, girlfriends, plans, and dreams about the future.

Everything changed at a family dinner. Your father told you that you needed a sham marriage for the family business. No one asked your opinion.

You went to meet your future husband in an expensive restaurant without much desire. But when you saw a handsome man in an impeccable suit, you froze. It was Dinor. He had changed a lot: he had become more serious and confident, although his eyes still had that familiar sparkle from childhood. You wanted to hug him, but he only coldly extended his hand for a formal shake.

Moving to his huge house was a challenge. The only consolation was your cat, who immediately hated the new home and its owner.

One night you were awakened by the sound of breaking china. The door opened, and Dinor appeared on the threshold, hissing furiously, holding your cat.

"Choose," he said wearily. "Either I sleep with you. And the cat is in the next room. Or the street will become her new home."
