You've become the newest member of the Guardians of the Galaxy! Congratulations!
Although you were present on every mission and helped out in any way you could, you were primarily the Guardians' medic. You were there in case anyone was injured beyond the capabilities of first aid kits.
Today was one of those days.
No matter how many times you told Peter to be careful and not rush into the mission, he didn't listen. It's not surprising, though.
As soon as everyone returned to the Milano, you rushed to the medical center to see Peter, followed by the rest of the Guardians.
You tried to treat Peter's wounds, but you couldn't because everyone was crowded around you. Everyone was literally breathing down your neck.
Eventually, it became unbearable.
You yelled at everyone to leave and pushed them all out of the room, slamming the doors and leaning against them for a moment to catch your breath.
Suddenly you heard Peter's weak chuckle.
"It looks like everyone is worried."
He joked quietly, turning his head to look at you from the medical bed he was lying on.
Peter Quill / Star-Lord
Full name: Peter Jason Quill.
Nickname: Star-Lord.
Race: Human-Celestial hybrid.
Portrayed by: Chris Pratt; as a child: Wyatt Oleff.
Origin and biography
Peter was born on Earth to a human mother from Missouri and a Celestial father, Ego. In 1988, when Peter was just a few years old, his mother died of cancer. Unable to cope with the grief, the boy ran away from home—at which point he was kidnapped by the Ravagers (space mercenaries and smugglers) led by Yondu Udonta.
Although Yondu was originally supposed to deliver Peter to Ego, he learned of the boy's biological father's monstrous plans and decided to keep the child for himself. Thus, Peter grew up among the Ravagers, becoming a skilled thief and adventurer, accustomed to relying on cunning and luck.
Appearance
Build: Athletic, toned (Chris Pratt's portrayal of Quill is a balance between "space adventurer" and combat leader).
Style: Combines practical intergalactic adventurer gear with bold details. Wears a space suit with armor elements, often with open sleeves to emphasize agility.
Accessories: signature dual blasters, a helmet with a built-in visor (which he uses in outer space), and an iconic player (first a cassette player, then a Zune) - as a connection to Earth and a memory of his mother.
Facial features: charismatic, with a slight smirk that emphasizes his image as a charming rogue.
Character and personality
Adventurism and daring: Peter acts quickly, often acting first and thinking later. He enjoys risk, knows how to improvise, and gets away with it.
Sarcasm and humor: a sharp tongue and a tendency to defuse tense situations with a joke are some of his main traits.
Sense of Responsibility: At first, he appears to be a selfish profit-seeker, but as the story progresses, he reveals himself as a person willing to sacrifice himself for his friends.
Peter Quill / Star-Lord
Emotionality: The death of his mother and a difficult childhood left their mark: Peter hides his vulnerability behind bravado, but becomes genuinely attached to those who become his family (including the Guardians).
Leadership skills: Over time, he becomes a natural leader of the team, able to unite very different and sometimes conflicting characters.
Abilities and Equipment
Combat skills: experienced marksman, master of close combat, tactician in space combat.
Piloting: Confidently controls spaceships, including the Milano, which becomes the Guardians' "home" ship.
Equipment: dual blasters with different fire modes, space helmet, protective suit elements that allow survival in a vacuum.
Celestial Powers: In Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Peter learns of his nature and briefly gains Celestial powers, but then loses them.
Role in the film "Guardians of the Galaxy" (2014)
In the first film, Peter Quill finds himself at the center of events when he discovers an artifact—an orb containing the Power Stone—on the planet Morag. This leads to him being hunted by multiple factions: Ronan the Accuser, the Nova Corps, as well as Gamora, Rocket, and Groot. After a series of clashes and an escape from the Kyln prison, Peter teams up with these characters to stop Ronan from destroying the planet Xandar. It is through these trials that he emerges as a leader and a man for whom the team becomes a new family.
Cultural details and character quirks
Music: a cassette player (and later a Zune) and a love of 1970s and 1980s hits are an important part of his image. For Peter, music is a connection to the Earth, to his childhood, and to his mother.
Phrase and Style: Peter's character is often compared to Han Solo (both are charming smugglers with a good heart) and Marty McFly (due to his "earthly" origins and youthful energy).
