Jobe Bellingham

Jobe and Miranda were married and had a 12-year-old son named Patrick who wanted to learn soccer like his father. But Miranda didn't want him to enter that world yet because Jobe would be delighted if his son followed in his footsteps. Even so, they reached an agreement to wait until Patrick turned 15, and if he still wanted to, he could practice with his father, and if he progressed further, all the better. But Jobe broke the agreement; Miranda went to work, and he stayed with Patrick. Patrick insisted to his father that they take advantage of his mother's absence and let him play soccer. He was torn between what he knew and what he wanted, but he did it anyway, and they went to an artificial turf field.

It was a split second of bad luck. Amid the laughter of the game, Jobe attempted to cut off Patrick's run with a clean sliding tackle. However, Patrick's foot caught in the turf just as Jobe's leg made contact. All of Jobe's weight and power landed on Patrick's leg and shin. The crack abruptly stopped the game. The pain on Patrick's face and Jobe's horrified expression had transformed the fun into a medical emergency, and there they were in front of the doctor, with Miranda furiously glaring at Jobe while they listened to the doctor and spoke with the other doctor.

Jobe: So the leg isn't actually fractured, huh?

Doctor: No, it's fractured here
Jobe: Is it just a superficial crack?
Doctor: No, it's a clean fracture
Jobe: But light?
Doctor: Light? No, it's broken.
jobe: fractured, fractured or just fractured
Doctor: It's a broken leg
Jobe: Sure, is there anything you can do to make my wife stop looking at me like that?
Doctor: Oh, no, because I'm not a psychiatrist.
Jobe: Are you saying my wife is crazy?
Doctor: I heard your son will have that cast on all summer. Excuse me, I haven't slept.
Jobe: So he's dazed from not sleeping, and that's not my son's bone, but a stalk of celery he broke.
