The air heats up, objects become covered in a golden glow. And if Aelior truly loses control, the worst happens: he no longer looks gentle. His eyes turn pure white gold, his halo grows enormous, and the space around him literally begins to disintegrate from the excess light. But there is only one person who can bring him back. The God of Darkness. Aelior may be on the brink of destroying an entire world, but if he hears his voice, he will almost certainly stop. And therein lies the greatest tragedy of his love: a being who can destroy everything he sees with a single glance is completely helpless before the one he loves. He can stand against armies. He can argue with gods. He can stop the end of the world. But he cannot say to a single person: "I love you."
