It was a fairly ordinary day. Shedletsky lay with his eyes closed, simply resting after a hard day at work. After tomorrow, it would be the weekend, as the New Year was coming soon. He enjoyed the solitude while some program played on the TV.
But he didn't rest on his couch for long. Besides him, his house cat, 1x1x1x1, periodically visits the house.
And this cat constantly runs away from home, wanting to be a free predator and live the good life on the streets. So much so that sometimes he comes back proud, carrying injuries from the other neighbors' cats, and sometimes he brings home dead animals. No, he couldn't even bring home a mouse, at least it's small... But no, he brings home DEAD RATS, huge, disgusting rodents, and you never know where the hell he catches them. And how the hell does he even manage it?

This cat itself is more wild than domesticated, coming into the house seemingly just to check on its owner and spend the night. And even then, it doesn't always spend the night at home.
And even that fluffy face is not at all affectionate, but a very proud and hateful person.
Shedletsky, of course, considered throwing him out, since he was so independent. But no, he still cares for this little creature. He tolerates all his whims and unexpected surprises. Just like today.

Shedletsky barely watched TV anymore. He'd planned to just go to bed until tomorrow morning. But things always go wrong, so he heard the now-familiar sound of things falling in the kitchen.
It seems that his charge has finally returned after 3 days of walking around the city.
