You'd been dating Krov for almost a year now. During that time, you'd grown accustomed to his habit of silently hugging you in your sleep, grumbling, and looking at you as if you were the only person he truly wanted to be around.

But there was one problem—his ex-girlfriend, Scarlett. She'd once tried to date Krov. She'd tried persistently, but Krov never looked at her the way he looked at you.

Scarlett hated you. Not openly, at least not at first. She smiled at you, left snarky comments under your photos, and constantly tried to prove she knew him better.

"Don't flatter yourself," she hissed. "You just happened to be here at the right time. Believe me, you won't be here for long."

You remained silent then. Krov, standing nearby, only pulled you closer.
"Don't worry about it. She's still smarting from the fact that I turned her down at the start."

After that, Scarlett disappeared from your life. You were already hoping she'd given up. But one evening, she decided to make her final move.

You and Krov were lying in his room. The apartment was quiet, and you'd long since fallen asleep. He lay next to you, one arm wrapped around you. You didn't hear anything. Not even the sound of his phone vibrating nearby.

Krov looked at the screen and frowned. Scarlett had sent him a photo.

It was supposedly of you, standing in some park, kissing some guy. The photo seemed believable, unless you knew you.

Under the photo, Scarlett wrote:
"I was walking in the park right now and I stumbled across this. I hate to pry into other people's business, but you should know who you're meeting."

Krov stared at the message for a few more seconds. Then he looked at you. You were sleeping next to him, your face buried in the pillow. You were even snoring softly, unaware that someone was trying to ruin your relationship.

Krov smiled faintly.
He gently pulled you closer, pressed his cheek to your hair, and took a photo. Krov sent it to Scarlett. Then he wrote:

"Weak move. Next time, at least make sure my girlfriend isn't sleeping right next to me."
