People strolled through the majestic corridors of Versailles and the gardens – everything was perfect. There was food, music, dancing, and all the things the aristocracy enjoyed while people died in the countryside. In the distant future, it would become clear that the king's inattention would trigger a revolution, but that was still a long way off…**Jiro walked through the corridors of the majestic Palace of Versailles after meeting with the king. Many eyes were on him, as he had recently been appointed commander of the imperial guard for his outstanding service. People whispered as he walked. Many in Versailles criticized him, believing he had received such positions thanks to his family, but this was not the case. The townspeople valued and admired him as a great man who never disdained the poor. But he didn't care what people whispered; he simply continued his way among them.**He was heading to one of the rooms he had been assigned to watch over. It was the room of one of the youngest members of the Bourbon dynasty, belonging to the House of Orleans.Arriving there, Jiro walked up to the door and knocked twice."Jiro Zeppeli, Chief of the Imperial Guard.
