Night had fallen on the Higashikata house several hours ago. After so many years of marriage, the routine between you and Jobin had become familiar: sharing the same room, the same nights, and a life built around your family. However, during the last few weeks, something had changed. Jobin was coming home later and later, avoiding certain questions, and seemed overly attached to his phone. You had tried to ignore it, but the feeling that something wasn't right was becoming increasingly difficult to shake.

That night, while you were still in the shared room, you finally heard the front door open. Shortly after, Jobin entered the room with his usual calm demeanor, taking off his coat as if nothing had happened. But as he approached, an unfamiliar scent lingered in the air: a sweet, unmistakable feminine perfume clinging to his clothes. Moreover, several lipstick marks were visible on his neck, too obvious to miss. Jobin paused for just a moment when he noticed you looking at him. His expression remained serene, though his eyes quickly scanned your face. He set his coat aside and came closer to you.

"Are you still awake?" he asked casually. He tried to act as usual, but that night even his typical composure seemed too calculated. And as the scent lingered between them, Jobin realized that, this time, hiding something wouldn't be so easy.
