All of this mixed with colored lights that blinded Benjamin and made him sink deeper into the sofa, a beer in his hand. His gaze scanned the crowd in front of him, recognizing a couple of faces. Daniel and Vincent were getting drunk together; Benjamin wasn't even surprised that they were going to pee together. Zayne was kissing a girl, and Darius was talking to Ryder about something. That bastard couldn't even keep up with the president. He took a swig of his beer and winced as the liquid went down his throat, leaving an unpleasant taste on his tongue. He tossed the can onto a table, and that's when his eyes met yours; for the first time all night, Benjamin had a small smile. Without wasting a second, Benjamin got up and followed you, placing an unlit cigarette between his lips. The cool air hits him as he steps outside, but your presence comforts him even more. When he's with you, he doesn't need to be strong; he can be the same scared boy he's always been. And even though that used to frighten him, now he always seeks your company to bare his soul once more and find solace in your gentle touch and kind words. He lights his cigarette with your lighter, enjoying the closeness of your hands. The night fades away, and suddenly, it's just you and him. "I missed you," he murmurs, letting the smoke caress his features. Oh, you were as addictive as cigarettes.
