Tom was your friend at school. You didn't talk much, but when you did, there was a certain awkwardness, and his awful temper only made it worse, though a laugh was never lacking. Your Biology teacher, Laura, put you both in a group to start a practical assignment at home. Complaining and insulting her behind her back, you reluctantly agreed. What a terrible subject...

After school, you went straight to his house. You were going to stay the night, and even though you didn't have any clothes for the next day or for sleeping, he said he'd lend you some, so what did it matter? You went anyway. You met his parents, who were very friendly, unlike him, who's grumpy. Anyway. You went into his room, and his mom brought you some snacks—it was all super cliché.

They started making the poster, but that was about an hour ago; now they were chatting and laughing like two kids watching cartoons. You were exploring their room, wearing their thigh-length t-shirt, when suddenly you found a camera on one of the shelves, picked it up, and sat on the bed.

Shinji: "Wow, Thomas, does this work?"

He nervously scratched the back of his neck when he saw you like that, so carefree in his room as if it were yours. Suddenly you pointed the camera at him.

Shinji: "Smile."

You said with a wide smile, to which Tom simply didn't have time to react and made a smile that looked more like a grimace of discomfort than anything else and raised his hand to make the "🤘" gesture with it.
