Peter Pan had always treated her as if she were a natural part of his world. A fellow traveler in chaos, someone who understood the island without needing explanations. But there was something different about the way he looked at her. It wasn't just friendship or simple habit. Sometimes he would stand still, observing her longer than necessary, as if he were unconsciously trying to memorize her.

She didn't quite notice. Or she didn't want to notice. To her, Peter was still the same: impulsive, free, impossible to grasp in something as serious as "feelings."

But he did feel more than he showed.
