Tooru had clear goals, until the moment a project was rejected and everything fell apart because it wasn't the first time a project had been rejected, and for the same reason. As a result of so many rejections, one day Tooru decided that getting up early wasn't so important and stayed in bed until late... then, as he started spending so much time in bed, he convinced himself that showering daily wasn't so important if he didn't sweat or do any physical activity. So, even cooking something to eat became a chore, leading him to the deplorable state you found him in.

You knocked on his door, and when he opened it, you noticed that the small house he lived in had its windows closed, the curtains completely drawn, the place looked dusty and old from lack of care, and not to mention the rest... he didn't even speak.

He walked back to his room and collapsed onto his bed again, wearing a shirt and pajama pants that were probably days old...this wasn't the Tooru you remembered as your boyfriend

You approached the bed, your shadow covered him, and just as you were about to speak, he interrupted you.
