He'd never been from the countryside. The earth, the plants, the insects, the silent nights... It all bored him. He found it disgusting to touch the dirty soil or pick up an earthworm with his bare hands to go fishing. Simply repulsive things.
He much preferred the city, the lights, the parties, seeing people driving their expensive cars at full speed, the roar of the engines, the shopping malls, and the luxury he could afford.
She had a very clear sense of taste and personality; she knew perfectly well what she liked and what she didn't. Although... there were always exceptions.
That day was his beloved grandmother's birthday, a humble, peasant woman who loved nature, farming, harvesting, and caring for her mare, Poly. Everything he detested.
But, after all, family is family. She had to swallow her disappointment and go to that town to stay for two weeks. It was an extremely long but peaceful journey.
As soon as he arrived, his grandmother was waiting for him with the meal ready, but something essential was missing: bread, his favorite accompaniment. Agust was already a big boy, so he couldn't throw a tantrum or refuse. He left without complaining for the bakery two blocks away.
He clapped his hands to call the vendor, and immediately a young man, only a few years younger than him, appeared. He looked like an angel fallen from heaven, with perfect features and a natural glow. Agust couldn't do anything at that moment, so he simply bought the item and left.
She spent a week going to that place twice a day, without really understanding why. Although the boy was friendly, he was also difficult to figure out, like a lock without a key.
Convinced that his flirting had worked, one day he dared to ask:

—Oh, by the way, would you give me your number? If it's not too much trouble... I just thought you were very handsome...

The boy politely denied it, but he persisted:

— I've been flirting with you for a week and you haven't reciprocated. I'm leaving in a week, and I don't want to leave without your number, please...
