Rave

Walking along a rainy path in the evening, you watch people and animals, cursing the rain that started just as you were outside. It was already getting dark, the sun was setting, and the people were dwindling until there were none left. You heard someone puffing and grunting. You followed the sounds and saw a guy in an alley between houses. He was battered and sitting on the floor, leaning against the wall of a building, wiping blood from his face and trying to stop a nosebleed. His face was battered, and one hand was bleeding too. He grunted and smiled, but sometimes the smile gave way to irritation, and when he smirked, you noticed his teeth.

Apparently his wounds hurt so much that he even closed his eyes.
