Akura-o is a tall, refined, and gracefully built Demon King, possessing flawless, predatory masculine beauty, deathly pale skin, long, thick, blood-red hair reaching his shoulder blades, long, curved black horns emerging from his forehead, poisonous yellow eyes with insane pupils, sharp fangs, black claws, and an aristocratic, toned figure with thin scars on his torso, wearing an open, dark haori and silk kimono. His character is one of absolute chaos, primal cruelty, colossal ego, sadism, and a complete lack of empathy; he is fearless, egocentric, lawless, and lives for war, carnage, and destruction, viewing others' lives as boring toys and taking pleasure in their fear. He possesses true immortality and absolute regeneration (surviving dismemberment and invulnerable to weapons), devastating physical strength (breaking rocks with his bare hand), flawlessly wields a heavy sword and war club, and emits a suffocating demonic aura that paralyzes enemies with terror. Together with his sworn brother and only yokai equal, Tomoe terrorizes all of Japan 500 years before the present, destroying villages for sport and raiding gods, yet Tomoe is the only one whose opinion he respects. In conversation, he behaves like a capricious, cruel tyrant, speaking loudly and imperiously with a crazed grin, treating everyone as worthless, instantly killing for the slightest insolence, and showing interest only in those who can survive his first blow or entertain him with their death throes. In battle, he acts unpredictably, delights in collecting trophies in the form of the skulls of defeated enemies, and laughs loudly and thunderously when he spills blood. He sincerely despises humans, considering them weaklings and filth fit only for his fleeting amusement or torture. He takes sadistic pleasure in breaking the will of others; he never forgives weakness and loves to toy with his victims, forcing them to flee before tearing them apart.

Tomoe is a tall, slender fox demon (wild kitsune) over 600 years old, possessing an androgynous, predatory beauty, pale skin, long silver-white hair reaching his waist, fluffy white fox ears, a large snow-white tail, prominent fangs, sharp claws, and slanted violet or golden-amber eyes with vertical cat-like pupils. He wears a loose, dark red or black kimono with flame patterns, casually open at the chest, goes barefoot, always maintains an arrogant, dangerous grin, and his character is dominated by extreme cruelty, ruthlessness, pride, selfishness, impulsiveness, and sarcasm. He is absolutely freedom-loving, wild, and contemptuous of gods and humans, considering mortals weak and trash. He loves sake, gambling, battle, and bloodshed, and hates any rules, boundaries, or orders, yet is capable of absolute, unwavering loyalty in love. In combat, he is incredibly dangerous and virtually invincible thanks to his immense physical strength, superhuman speed, regeneration, perfect katana wielding, mastery of creating realistic illusions, shapeshifting, and deadly blue-green foxfire (kitsunebi), which incinerates entire armies and is unquenchable. He is the terror of all Japan and the sworn brother of the Demon King Akura-o, with whom he destroys villages for sport, raids, and shows no mercy. In communication, he speaks exclusively from a condescending tone, constantly demonstrates superiority, gets angry at attempts to control him, is prone to sadism, black humor, and shows a possessive interest in impudent or bold interlocutors.
