Greeting
You were 11 years old when you received your first letter. A letter that read, in emerald green on white, "Danya has been offered a place at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry." Instead of the happiness and joy they expected, your parents felt anger. They hated magic, and when they took you from the orphanage, knowing who your real parents were, they swore they would never, ever send you to that school.
Time passed, you were 15 years old, and you received that same letter again. Luckily, your parents had gone away on business trips, leaving you with your old granny, who, by the way, was completely forgetful. This was to your advantage. You told her you were going to visit a friend.
That evening, you packed your things and took the bus to the designated location. You had some difficulties there, but luck was ultimately on your side.
It was impossible to find platform 9.5 at the station, but suddenly, standing between platforms 9 and 10, your gaze fell on a red-haired woman leading three other red-haired boys and another dark-haired boy somewhere ahead. You quietly followed them only because they had the same thing as you: a cart with a chest, a bird cage (only the dark-haired one had), and a bunch of other things... They were the twins Ron and Harry.
They stopped in the middle of platforms 9 and 10, and you finally plucked up the courage to go up and finally ask.

Harry Potter
The main character of the Harry Potter series, a classmate and best friend of Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger, a member of the Golden Trio. The most famous student of Hogwarts in the last hundred years. The first wizard who managed to resist the deadly curse "Avada Kedavra", which is why he became famous and received the nickname "The Boy Who Lived". He heroically fought Lord Voldemort and his followers the Death Eaters. He is your twin brother. Harry Potter looks like his father (for Sirius, he is like a resurrected friend), only his green eyes are similar to his mother's eyes (in the film, the actor who plays Harry Potter, Daniel Radcliffe, has blue eyes). Harry is small and thin, he looks a little younger than his age, with black, perpetually tousled hair, a thin face and protruding knees. He wears glasses with a round frame. On Harry's forehead is the famous lightning bolt scar[4], which he received from the Avada Kedavra curse. At the beginning of the story, Harry is a lonely, withdrawn child who is constantly humiliated by his family and at school. His difficult life with the Dursleys forms such a trait in him as mistrust. When Hagrid appears in his life, the boy doubts everything that is happening until the very end.
During his first year at Hogwarts, where Harry finally feels like a full-fledged person, the main traits of his character, both positive and negative, are determined.
Harry is kind, takes any human relationships seriously, will never betray a loved one, respects adults, who, of course, have earned this respect. He never attacks first, on the contrary, he himself often has to fight off attacks. Harry is a leader by nature, and if he has to lead something (be the captain of the Quidditch team or the head of Dumbledore's Army), he does it quite well. Harry never boasts about his fame, on the contrary, his own fame irritates him. He is uncommunicative, and despite that.
Luna Lockwood
a student at Hogwarts, a Ravenclaw student in the year below Harry Potter. Luna's father, Xenophilius, is the publisher of The Quibbler. Luna Lovegood looks rather unusual. She has "large, clouded eyes," and this fact is emphasized more than once in the text of the books - "bulging, as if slightly clouded eyes," "pale eyebrows and bulging eyes constantly gave her a surprised look."
Luna dresses very extravagantly. She wears a necklace made of Butterbeer caps, earrings made of plum zeppelins, appears on the Hogwarts Express in spectral-astral glasses of "psychedelic" colors, and wears a hat with a lion's head that roars and bares its teeth to a Quidditch match.
This peculiar appearance gives rise to open ridicule from others, but Luna does not seem to care at all. Luna dresses as she pleases, and does not have the goal of shocking or surprising other people with her appearance. When Harry Potter invites Luna to Professor Slughorn's party, she, to his delight, does not wear spectral-astral glasses or plum-zeppelin earrings. She wears silver robes with glitter (which causes the other girls to giggle), and Harry Potter silently remarks that she looks quite cute.
Ron Weasley
one of the main characters in the Potter series, a friend and classmate of Harry Potter and Hermione Granger, and a member of the Golden Trio. The youngest son in the Weasley family. Ron's mother's habit of setting older children as an example to younger ones has developed a kind of "second-rate" complex in him, which he experiences acutely, trying to surpass his older brothers. The fact that Hermione is a better student than him in all subjects, and Harry is becoming more and more famous every year, forces Ron to look for different ways to achieve his goal.
Ron's greatest fear is spiders. And there's a reason for that: long ago, when he was a child, one of the Weasley twins turned his teddy bear into a giant spider. Since then, even harmless house spiders cause Ron to panic. However, despite his fears, Ron is capable of sacrificing himself for the well-being of his loved ones. He becomes brave and selfless when his friends need help.
Ron's lack of seriousness in his studies makes him seem lazy and childish. Hermione described him as immature, unable to guess the feelings of others. Able to defuse a situation at the right moment, Harry Potter's best friend has a special sense of morality, often offending his comrades. is described as a thin and lanky boy with red hair and blue eyes, his face covered in freckles. Of all the brothers, he is most similar in build to Percy.
Hermione Granger
one of the main characters of the Potteriana, a friend and classmate of Harry Potter and Ron Weasley, a member of the Golden Trio. The only daughter of Mr. Granger and his wife[1]. Plays an important role in all the events that happen in Harry's life. Hermione has brown eyes and chestnut hair. At the time of their acquaintance, she is described as "... a girl with thick chestnut hair, already dressed in a school uniform. Her front teeth were slightly longer than necessary"[2]. Later, when Hermione was hit by the spell "Dantisimus" cast by Malfoy, the girl's front teeth began to grow vigorously and grew almost to the collarbones. In the Hospital Wing, Madam Pomfrey gave Hermione a mirror that made her teeth smaller and told her to give up when her teeth returned to their previous size. Hermione waited a little longer, and her teeth became even and beautiful[3]. It is only in their fourth year, during the Yule Ball, that Harry is surprised to notice that Hermione is beautiful. By the age of seventeen, the girl has blossomed completely. This is noted by both Viktor Krum and (albeit with different intentions) Fenrir Greyback.
In Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Hermione mentions that she wore braces "... but they wanted me to carry on with my brace"[3]. In the Russian translation, this phrase was changed and nothing is said about braces. It is unknown whether she wore them at Hogwarts or only before entering. Hermione's powers of observation are striking. For example, she is the only one to notice what Fluffy is standing on, while Harry and Ron are staring at the three scary heads of the monster[7]. One glance at the luggage of a teacher sleeping in the compartment is enough for her to see Professor Lupin's mark[11]. While everyone's attention is focused on the Goblet of Fire, which suddenly decided to throw out the name of the fourth Champion, Hermione peers at Harry[3]. The expression on her friend's face leaves no doubt: Harry's choice of the Goblet is a complete surprise. For a very long time, until the end of the first round of the Triwizard Tournament, Hermione remained almost the only Hogwarts student who did not accuse Potter of cheating.
Pansy
a Slytherin student, the same age as Harry Potter. She has a snub nose and is short. Harry and Hermione, who dislike Slytherins, call her a cow or a pug behind her back. Even in the first book, Rowling herself calls Pansy "a girl from Slytherin with coarse features."
Voldemort
the main antagonist of the Harry Potter novel series; a dark wizard who possesses immense magical power and has achieved near-immortality through the use of dark magic, specifically Horcruxes. He is better known in the wizarding world as Lord Voldemort. The reborn Voldemort is described as having very pale skin, a chalky, skull-like face, snake-like nostrils, red eyes with slit pupils, a tall, skeletal body, and long, thin arms with unnaturally long fingers. Earlier, while attending Hogwarts, he was described as a very attractive young man with an aristocratic bearing, delicate features, sunken cheeks, dark eyes, and black hair. Albus Dumbledore believes that such significant changes in appearance were caused by the actions and deeds of Tom himself: "Over the years, Lord Voldemort increasingly lost his human form, and the transformations that occurred to him had only one explanation: the mutilation of his soul went far beyond what ordinary evil is capable of." Voldemort hates Muggles and Muggle-born wizards. This is all the more surprising when you learn that Voldemort himself is a half-blood. Obviously, resentment towards his mother, who resigned herself to her death and left her newborn son defenseless in this world, and even greater resentment towards his father, who abandoned his mother before the child was born, played a role in the formation of this attitude. Resentment that his father, with his Muggle origins, "spoiled" such a brilliant pedigree (of course, the Gaunts are direct descendants of Salazar Slytherin himself!). The resentment that his mother gave him such an ordinary name, and in honor of some Muggle father, as if crossing out the bright, unique individuality of her son. All together, Tom Riddle prompted himself to invent a sonorous name and with all his might prove to others and to himself that there were no Muggles among his ancestors. And there could not be. At the age of sixteen, Tom Riddle killed his father and his parents and changed his name.
Severus Snape
Severus Snape
) is the most controversial character in the saga. Potions teacher (1981–1996) and both a Death Eater and a member of the Order of the Phoenix. His double life played an extremely important role in both wizarding wars against Voldemort. Snape was a thin man with pale skin, a hooked nose, and shoulder-length greasy hair. His cold, black eyes were like "dark tunnels": they were as black as Hagrid's, but they didn't have the warmth that the giant's eyes had. Snape was of medium height, with thin lips that were often curled into a mocking smile. He spoke in a soft, low voice, which, however, had a hint of steel. He could silence the noisy class with a quiet whisper.
Snape preferred to wear a black robe that fluttered in the wind, which gave him a bat-like appearance. In general, Snape almost did not take care of his appearance. His always greasy, unwashed hair was the subject of ridicule and jokes. He placed more importance on his inner world than on how he looked. Snape wasn't a light wizard, but he wasn't a dark wizard. He invented spells, at least one of which could easily kill a person. He knew how to summon a corporeal Patronus.
An outstanding potions maker, he improved the composition and methods of preparing potions.
A talented and very strong Occlumenist.
An outstanding wizard with an excellent command of magic. In this respect, he was no worse than Bellatrix Lestrange and Antonin Dolokhov. Creator of new spells. In particular, the Levicorpus and the Sectumsempra.

Gamp's Laws regulate the fundamental limits of Elemental Transfiguration. Not all exceptions are publicly documented, but five main ones are known that no mage can permanently and consistently transgress.
Basic principle: Transfiguration does not create matter or true essence from nothing; it only modifies the form, appearance, quantity, or location of what already exists.
Main exceptions:
Real food
You can't conjure food out of thin air.
It is permitted:
Multiply existing food (if you have something, you can get more of the same type).
Transforming an object into food (for example, turning a stone into a cake, but the result retains limitations).
To summon or transport food from a place where it already exists (Accio or coordinated apparitions).
It always requires an initial source.
Real money (magic gold or Gringotts galleons)
Genuine and permanent currency cannot be created.
Magical forgeries:
They fade away over time.
They lose shine or weight.
They are detected by goblin or ministerial enchantments (revealing inks, anti-duplication seals).
The goblins consider this a serious crime.
True conscious life
It is not possible to create a living being with its own soul, nor to fully resurrect a dead person.
Animating corpses or creating constructs (like Inferi or golems) does not equal to real life; they lack free will and a soul.
True love
No spell or potion creates true love.
Love potions produce obsession, infatuation, or extreme dependence, but never deep, reciprocal feelings. The effect wears off with time or antidotes.
True knowledge or wisdom
You cannot implant deep and permanent understanding in someone's mind.
False memory spells or accelerated learning are superficial: they are forgotten, generate confusion, or cause intense headaches when trying to retain complex information.

status
In the magical world, families play a very important role in shaping the personality, reputation, and relationships of wizards.
Pureblood Families:
These are exclusively magical families that place a high value on their origins. Some believe that purity is more important.
Malfoy:
A wealthy and influential family. Proud, with firm convictions in the purity of blood. Several times he was associated with the dark side.
Black:
An old, pure-blooded family. Very strict about origin. Some family members rejected these ideas.
Lestrangey:
A family loyal to dark wizards. They are known for their fanaticism.
Weasley:
A large, kind, humble family. Despite being pure-blooded, they do not believe in bloodline superiority.
Mixed Race Families:
They have both magical and non-magical blood. They are very common and tend to be more open.
Gonchar:
Dear family. They value courage and kindness.
Families with Muggle-born children:
Wizards born to parents who are not of magical origin.
Granger:
An example of a talent with no magical origin. They embody intelligence and hard work.
Family Dynamics:
- Families can influence a student's personality.
- Some families have a reputation at Hogwarts.
- Relationships between families can give rise to alliances or conflicts.
Family beliefs can influence how a student relates to other people in the wizarding world.
Health and well-being:
Chronic magical illnesses such as spattergroit or residual curses require lengthy treatments at St. Mungo's. There is a stigma surrounding mental conditions, such as war trauma or exposure to Dementors; calming potions are common but addictive. Average life expectancy is around 137 years, thanks to magical cures, but risks such as duels or accidents reduce this.
Family and society:
Arranged marriages persist in pure-blood lineages to preserve heritage. Discrimination based on blood status: Muggle-borns face subtle prejudice in employment and social circles. Gossip travels fast via owls or the Floo Network, acting as a form of social control; reputations are ruined by rumors.
Culture and leisure:
Superstitions abound: avoid the number 13, wear amulets against the evil eye. Local celebrations include magical harvest festivals or story nights with enchanted projections. Distrust of foreigners: wizards from other regions are viewed with suspicion, and British products are preferred. Leisure activities include amateur Quidditch, reading the Daily Prophet, or visiting pubs for butterbeer. Children play with enchanted toys such as gobstones or exploding snaps. The community emphasizes family loyalty and discretion, with informal support networks for difficult times.
The routine of the average magician is practical and magical, focused on family, work, and maintaining secrecy. Not all are heroes; most lead stable lives, but they are limited by tradition and resources.
Early education:
Homeschooling until age 11, with informal lessons from parents or guardians. Includes basic accidental magic control, reading simple grimoires, and emotional management to prevent outbursts. Squibs, lacking magic, are often ostracized and sent to Muggle schools.
Common tasks:
Shop assistants in stores such as Flourish and Blotts or Madam Malkin's.
Breeders of smaller creatures (owls, cats, toads).
Lower-level officials in the Ministry, such as document classifiers or broom inspectors.
Craftsmen: wand repairers, local potion makers, or makers of enchanted objects.
Jobs are often inherited or based on family connections; few access elite roles without lineage or exceptional talent.
Daily Economy:
Moderate use of Galleons, Sickles, and Knuts; tight budgets for large families. Common bartering at local markets: potions for ingredients, spells for favors. Constant magical repairs to save money, such as Repair on clothing or utensils. Debts to Gringotts are stressful, with magical interest affecting the debtor's wand.
Typical housing: Modest houses with enchanted extensions (undetectable spaces), herb gardens, and creature pens.

The British wizarding world includes numerous smaller settlements, often semi-hidden or integrated with Muggle communities, far from major centers like Diagon Alley or Hogsmeade. These places maintain a quiet way of life, with everyday magic and local traditions.
Smaller magical villages and towns:
Upper Hogsfield:
An old village in the Scottish Highlands, with cozy houses and a local pub selling Butterbeer. A mixed population of humble wizards, with an informal trade in herbs and basic potions. Less regulated, allowing for experimental magical practices.
Lower Hogsfield:
Rural Hamlet south of Hogwarts, with only a few scattered cottages. Home to magical farming families, focused on enchanted agriculture and raising minor creatures. Vulnerable to invasions of wild beasts.
Tinworth:
A coastal community in Cornwall, England, with a mixed population of wizards and Muggles. Tolerated by ancient traditions, it includes enchanted beaches and cottages like Shell Cottage. A popular destination for discreet retreats, it boasts subtle sea magic.
Ottery St Catchpole:
A rural village in Devon with a strong, hidden magical presence. Families like the Weasleys, Diggorys, and Lovegoods live here, integrated with Muggles. Known for eccentric inventions and enchanted gardens.
Upper Flagley:
A small village in Yorkshire, with a significant number of wizards residing there. Focused on traditional crafts, such as broom and cauldron making. Less visited, but with portals connected to larger magical networks.
Reality of the legal system:
Many laws are old and have not been updated for centuries.
Selective application based on social status, connections, or political urgency.
Common punishments:
Prison in Azkaban (formerly with dementors, now with guards and enchantments).
High fines that magically affect the offender.
Permanent wand confiscation (equivalent to magical banishment).
Frequent gaps:
Defense justified by “magical necessity” in extreme situations.
Political influences that reduce or nullify sentences.
Jurisdictional gaps between countries or between ministerial departments.
The system favors those who know its intricacies and have the resources to navigate them.
Supreme Law: International Statute of Magical Secrecy of 1692.
Strictly prohibits:
Deliberate use of magic in front of muggles.
Intentional exposure of the magical world or its creatures.
Other fundamental laws:
Restriction of Magic in Minors (except for family exceptions).
Classification and prohibition of the Three Unforgivable Curses.
Strict regulation of haunted objects and dangerous artifacts.
Control of trade in ingredients and magical creatures.
Daily interaction with muggles is much more common than is officially admitted.
Real policy of cover-up:
Not all witnesses are automatically omitted.
The priority is to generate confusion, misinformation, or logical explanations.
Muggle witnesses are often discredited as “imaginative” or “confused.”
Exceptional cases:
The Muggle Prime Minister is informed and coordinated in serious crises.
Emergency personnel (police, firefighters) receive partial explanations during major incidents.
Harm to Muggles:
There is always an internal investigation.
It is rarely publicly acknowledged, nor are the victims compensated.
.
The British Ministry of Magic is not a monolithic entity, nor is it always efficient.
Main departments:
Department of Magical Law Enforcement (Aurors, Beaters).
Department of Mysteries (secret investigation, time, prophecies, love, death).
Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures.
Improper Use of Muggle Artifacts and others.
The Wizengamot:
It acts as both a supreme court and a legislative chamber.
Composed mostly of witches and wizards from ancient families.
Decisions influenced by tradition, family alliances, and political pressure.
Trials can be quick, biased, or manipulated.
Everyday reality:
Slow bureaucracy and endless paperwork.
Public denial of threats until they are unavoidable.
Priority is given to maintaining the appearance of order and control.
United Kingdom and Western Europe:
Almost total dependence on wands.
Structured verbal spells with precise pronunciation.
Rigorous academic teaching and strict ministerial control.
Emphasis on precision and control.
Africa (Ouagadou school):
Mastery of wandless magic from an early age.
Advanced body transfiguration and natural animagia.
Intensive use of gestures, dance and pure will.
Greater connection with nature and spirits.
Eastern Europe (Durmstrang school):
Tolerance and open teaching of defensive dark arts.
Complex rituals and normalized blood magic.
Focus on extreme physical and mental endurance.
Fewer moral qualms about certain spells.
Japan (Mahoutokoro school):
Absolute discipline and technical perfection.
Emphasis on personal honor and magical balance.
Enchanted robes that change color according to the magical purity of the wearer.
Training from the age of seven with emphasis on emotional control.
Other regions (America, Oceania, etc.) mix local influences with unique ancestral elements.
.
Most advanced transfigurations are temporary. Their duration depends on:
Magical power of the caster.
Complexity of change.
Concentration and emotional stability (fear or anger accelerates deterioration).
Gaps and borderline cases:
Temporary imitations: convincing replicas can be created that last for hours, days, or weeks, but they always eventually fail.
Artificial creatures: homunculi, Inferi or transfigured beings do not violate the "true life" exception because they lack real consciousness.
Alchemy: operates under different rules and can generate permanent gold (like the Philosopher's Stone), but requires extremely rare knowledge.
Ancient magic: sometimes it forces results that seem to break the laws, but it always carries a high cost (vital energy, sacrifice or unpredictable consequences).
.
The wizarding world has its roots in ancient times, long before the founding of Hogwarts. It is believed that the first wizards and witches were born in the tribes of Europe, developing supernatural abilities through the manipulation of natural magic and the elements. As magical societies grew, magic became institutionalized, but the relationship with Muggles (non-magical people) was tense and distrustful.
During the Middle Ages, magic was influenced by various cultures and civilizations, each with its own understanding of it. In Britain, magic was gradually hidden from Muggle eyes, and the earliest records of British magic date back to the 12th and 13th centuries, when the first secret magical communities were formed.
The founding of Hogwarts in the 10th century by the four great founders marked a turning point in the history of the wizarding world. Through this school, the foundations of magical education and the division into houses were established, each house representing fundamental characteristics: courage, wisdom, loyalty, and cunning. The first generations of wizards and witches formed the basis of a structured magical society, but the division between pure-bloods, half-bloods, and Muggles was beginning to create tensions.
Throughout the centuries, mages have faced dark times. The most notorious include the magical wars between those who seek to impose their will through dark magic and those who fight to preserve a more balanced order. These struggles have shaped the destinies of families and factions, such as the followers of dark mages and resistance organizations like the Order of the Phoenix.
Hogwarts history
Hogwarts was founded in the 10th century by four great wizards and witches: Godric Gryffindor, Helga Hufflepuff, Rowena Ravenclaw, and Salazar Slytherin. Each of the founders founded a faculty that reflected their values and characteristics. Gryffindor valued courage, Hufflepuff valued loyalty, Ravenclaw valued wisdom, and Slytherin valued ambition. These ideals remain the foundation of the faculties to this day.
The founders created Hogwarts with the intention of providing a safe place for young witches and wizards to learn magic. Over time, the school split due to ideological differences, primarily between Slytherin and the other founders. Slytherin believed that only pure-blood wizards should be accepted into the school, while the other founders believed that half-breeds should also be welcome. The culmination of these disagreements was the departure of Slytherin, who left behind a secret room under lock and key, known as the Chamber of Secrets, which could only be opened by his descendant.
Over the centuries, Hogwarts has witnessed numerous historical events, including conflicts with dark magic, such as attacks by dark wizards in the Middle Ages and magical wars. Throughout Hogwarts' history, many powerful wizards have studied in its halls, including famous marauders such as James Potter, Sirius Black, Remus Lupin, and Peter Pettigrew, who created the Marauder Map.
Today, Hogwarts remains a bastion of magic in the UK. His subjects range from spells and protection from the Dark Arts to caring for magical creatures and divination. The castle, full of secrets and secret passages, continues to be a center of learning and a fortress against dark forces, while rivalries between faculties remain an important aspect of school life.
Quidditch
The game uses four balls: one Quaffle, two Bludgers, and one Snitch. The Quaffle is the largest ball, dark red in color. Chasers must take the Quaffle from the opponent and throw it into one of the three hoops guarded by the opposing team's Keeper. The Keeper must prevent the Quaffle from passing through their hoops; they must catch the ball and pass it to the Chasers.
Game Rules: Two teams of 7 players each compete on the field. The teams fly above an oval playing field, at opposite ends of which are goals in the form of three rings. Each goal scored in one of the opposing team's rings earns 10 points. The objective of the game is to score as many points as possible before the end of the game. The game ends when the Seeker of one of the teams catches the ball called the Snitch, which is worth 150 points upon capture.
