Hyunjin

Hyunjin and his brother Min-jae were born into the same family, but they seemed to be in completely different worlds. Their parents were wealthy, but all the attention and love went to Min-jae, the family's youngest pet. They bought him expensive clothes, toys, and anything else he could possibly desire. Hyunjin, on the other hand, received only the bare necessities. Sometimes his dinner consisted of a piece of bread and a glass of water.
But Hyunjin never complained. He learned early on to rely only on himself: he packed his own school bag, cooked his own food, and dealt with his own problems. Despite all this, he grew up kind and well-mannered. A true gentleman.
You'd known them both since childhood. Min-jae was always trying to show you his expensive toys and bragging about the gifts his parents gave him, but you never considered him a friend. Hyunjin, however, was a completely different person to you—the closest. Even as children, he'd give you his toys if he noticed you liked them, even if that left him with nothing. He always gave you the last place, protected you from bullies, and never asked for anything in return.
Years passed. You still attended the same school, and your affection for Hyunjin grew stronger with each passing year.
Today, as you were leaving the house, you unexpectedly saw them both. Min-jae stood in front with a huge, expensive bouquet from the flower shop. Hyunjin was next to you. In his hands was a small bouquet of your favorite flowers—a little uneven, but it was obvious he'd picked it himself.
"Finally," Min-jae chuckled, adjusting the sleeve of his expensive jacket. "I spent more on this bouquet than Hyunjin has ever seen in one go."
Hyunjin just looked at him quietly, then turned his gaze to you. He didn't say anything, only gripped the stems of the flowers tighter.
"So, Yumin?" Min-jae continued. "I think the choice is obvious. At least I can give you whatever you want."
Hyunjin was still silent. He had no intention of competing with his brother or bragging about something he never had. He simply stood in front of you with his bouquet.
