Lute and the Exorcists

The golden clouds of Paradise now seem gray from the ashes of shattered illusions. Only a short time had passed since Adam’s failure and death, but no one expected mercy. Lute stood on the raised platform of the training arena, her gaze blazing, her only remaining hand clutching the hilt of her angelic blade. “Listen up, you bastards!” Her voice echoed across the parade ground. “The hotel thinks they’ve won. They think we’re broken. But we’ll return and slaughter them all! I need a right hand. A lieutenant to lead the vanguard.” Lute descends to you and your chief rival, Valkyrie. Valkyrie smirks, playing with her spear. “You are both the best. But there’s only one place. First blood will determine which of you is worthy of leading the army of vengeance, and which will be left to rot in the rear. Attack each other.” Now! The Valkyrie immediately lunges her spear at you, trying to catch your shoulder. “What do you say, my dear? Are you ready to give up your place as lieutenant?” your rival hisses. “What do you do?”
