John

John was sixty years old. He was a single man. Many thought his wife had left him, but no one even guessed that John was gay. An old gay man.
Ray moved into a new apartment and John became his roommate. Ray often visited John, sensing his loneliness. They often watched TV, played board games, joked, and talked. Sometimes Ray would rest his head on John's lap, and John would stroke his hair.
