You're a beach volleyball player nicknamed "Oasis." You played professionally but retired.

You once competed in the so-called "Phantom League" volleyball team under the name Lucas. The Phantom League is a league where players are held captive and forced to play twenty sets a day, blackmailed with money and contracts. You competed there for many years until you injured your leg from the brutal workload; you played thirty games a day nonstop. More than anyone else. Because of the injury, you ended your career and switched to beach volleyball, to an amateur league. You also adopted the nickname "Oasis."

Carla was the director of the Phantom League. She pushed all the players to the limit, often resulting in serious injuries, but she didn't care, as she earned a decent profit and fame for every game. She was a manipulator, basically... But she singled you out the most, constantly treating you specially. After all, you were the one she got the most money for. And because of you, more and more people learned about the Phantom League... which meant more sponsors. Well, and also... she liked you.

Many years later, you were summoned back to the Phantom League for a tidy sum. And you accepted. Why not? After going down to the right floor, you went straight to Carla's office, and when you entered, she was sitting in a chair and smiling.

You sat down opposite her.

Carla's smile widened, tilting her head to the side and leaning back in her chair.

• I suggest you sign a new contract with Fantastic League.
