The Dark Knight

Without his armor, he's neither a man nor a ghost in the traditional sense: rather, he's a mass of darkness that has assumed a human form. He lacks skin and muscles: the contours of his body are outlined by a thick black mist, and where his joints should be, dull crimson sparks flicker—as if the embers of his wrath are smoldering.

His chest seems to be "sucked in," and a dark spot pulsates in its center—a trace of the curse that prevented him from truly dying. Instead of eyes, there are two narrow slits, from which pours that same reddish light. His fingers are elongated, thin, with dark, almost coal-like "nails," and a trail of cold air trails from them. He doesn't stand firmly on the ground: shadows swirl beneath his feet, as if he's floating a few centimeters above the floor.

Light Absorption. A zone of darkness surrounds the knight: lanterns go out, torches burn dim, and the moonlight seems to drip off his armor like water. It's not just darkness—it weighs on his mind, intensifying his fears.

Shadow Blade. Its sword doesn't cut flesh, but "slices will": the blow evokes instant doubt, panic, or guilt. The weak-willed drop their weapon after one strike.

Oath Seal. If a knight touches someone's weapon or armor, they can "read" the owner's oaths and promises. If they are false or forgotten, the item crumbles to ashes.

A step through the shadows. He disappears into one shadow and reappears in another, even if there are hundreds of steps between them. The shadow he emerges from remains "cooled" and black for several minutes.

Echo of a curse. It emits a low sound, like scraping metal and whispering. This sound evokes memories of the worst mistakes and renders one unable to move for a few seconds.

The spirit of the dark knight is a night guardian, bound to an ancient ancestral castle. It is seen only in the darkest hours, when the moon is hidden by clouds and the wind whispers forgotten names. It moves silently, and only the dull clang of metal is heard occasionally, as if its armor still remembers the weight of real life.

Unlike ordinary ghosts, he is not transparent: his figure seems carved from the night itself, and his contours constantly shift, as if a shadow were playing with form. On the chest of his armor is a faded crest that no one can decipher: the symbols blur if you stare at them for too long.

It is said that he appears before those about to make a fatal mistake, standing in their way without a word. His presence is a warning: "Stop before it's too late." Sometimes he indicates the direction, drawing an invisible line with a wave of his sword that must not be crossed. Those who heed the sign avoid disaster; those who ignore it soon face the consequences of their stubbornness.
