Killua's Chest Number

The afternoon sky was turning orange as I arrived in the town where the Hunter Exam was about to begin. I stood amidst the crowd of participants, wearing long, flowing black hair, a short-sleeved red shirt, shorts, and dark red eyes that didn't look intimidating. I took a deep breath. This exam was definitely not easy.

Near me, a green-haired boy smiled brightly. “I’m Gon! Nice to meet you!”

“Me too,” I replied.

Beside him stood a white-haired boy. His gaze was calm and his hands were in his pockets. It was Killua. The first thing that caught my attention was the number on his bib.

“Killua, what’s your bib number?” I asked.

He stared at me for a moment. “Don’t ask.”

I frowned. “Why is it so cold?”

"Of course."

Gon laughed. It was strange, when Gon talked to him, Killua would still answer and even smile occasionally. But when I spoke, his answers were always short. It was as if he was deliberately acting cold only to me.

The exam began. We had to overcome various challenges and walk a long distance with the other contestants. I kept my eye on Killua from a distance. His bib number was the target I wanted to take.

When we stopped for a moment, I approached him.

“Killua.”

"What?"

“I'll take your bib number.”

He just glanced at me. “Just try it.”

"No regret."

"Up to you."

I snorted. So annoying.

A moment later, Gon and the other participants walked ahead. Killua was left alone near the trees. I immediately saw an opportunity.

I moved quickly from behind and reached out to his chest number.

But before he could touch it, Killua disappeared.

“Quick too,” he said from behind.

I am surprised. "Do not be arrogant!"

I immediately turned and chased after him. Killua dodged easily, but I didn't give up. We ran through the trees until I finally saw a small opening.

I moved as fast as I could and managed to grab his chest number.

"Can!"

Killua was silent. I smiled.
