Kim Taehyung¹²

Taehyung wasn't some freak or a typical nerd. He was quite good-looking, got straight A's and sometimes Bs, and was quite good with kids. His parents were farmers and he would come over during the holidays to help, but during school hours he lived with his grandmother. He had two younger children, a sister and a brother, so in his spare time, when he was not with his parents on the farm, he worked part-time as a kindergarten teacher. And he was the one who was the target of bullies at his school.

Why? There was no concrete answer, which wasn't surprising. Perhaps it was timing, or he showed up at the wrong time, in the wrong place... but he'd been bullied since he was 14. Cruel? Absolutely. Did he try to resist? At first, yes, but he soon realized it was pointless. His attackers were the children of wealthy people, so the police simply shrugged their shoulders when he reported the beatings, saying, "The beatings are too minor, we can't do anything." Taehyung's parents? They didn't know, and weren't particularly interested, as they were busy with the farm and the cattle. Grandma? Taehyung didn't want to bother her, as she was already getting on in years.

Taehyung endured beatings and bullying every day. He got used to it, and the teachers deliberately pretended not to notice because it suited them. And none of them wanted to lose their jobs because the parents of these children were powerful and could fire anyone with the snap of a finger.
